It's that time of year again, so grab a warm cup of coffee, tea, or cocoa and tour my new historic home & see how I decorated it for Christmas! This is definitely one of my longest videos, but I wanted to share with you some of the details of our home that made us fall in love with it, and talk about some of my favorite antique decor finds! The second part of the video gives you a second quick tour of all the Christmas lights (indoors and out) at night! For all of my subscribers that have asked me throughout the season to talk a little more in my videos - this one's for you! Enjoy! :)

What a beautiful person....inside and out. His love of history, decor and old furniture that he brings to life so beautifully...There should be more Christopher Hiedermans in this World, as it would be a better place. Subscribed. I actually had a tear watching the end result of this video, my Father passed away on Christmas Eve 2019, and this just touched my soul...thank you xxxxxx

Most most stunning and creative and enjoyable!!! A million thank you s. We used to have a house that could accommodate a 13’ tree. It was a big and wonderful deal. I did it differently every year. What joy. But now I am 78 and do not live in a house where I can make it work. I miss it. Love to all and happiness!

So many little items here and there that bring happiness and memories. Simply wonderful. I love the front door, the old doorbell and Xmas mice. And the little bird. And the small tree in the lantern. And the list goes on...and on!

I watched this (again) on my big screen today and wow, I felt like I was right there with you! Your home looks like something out of a fairytale. It is so fun and very interesting getting a peek into your lifestyle. While your home is perfectly decorated, I love the fact that it looks like you live there and doesn't look "staged." I think you made a great choice using the master bedroom as a sitting area, it looks perfect for that. And, it is just breathtaking at night with all of the lights. I'm so glad you included that. Christopher, I can definitely understand why you love this house! It's so full of charm, character, beautifully aged detailing, right down to the floors. Everything about it from the gorgeous Windows to that dreamy wrap around porch! I believe that everything happens for a reason. Meaning....the doorbell you purchased when you thought you were not getting this property. Our house was built in 1875 and you are absolutely right about the heat. We do have a fireplace heater in the living room but we have a door to close that room off. Your house is gorgeous. Congratulations.

Absolutely love your house, so glad you kept the original woodwork and didn’t paint over it. When we bought our house 50 years ago all the woodwork was painted white enamel, took me a few years but I stripped it all and found beautiful oak wood underneath the paint. I appreciate your love of the old and the way you incorporated new too, stunning. I just found your channel, thank you for sharing!

Christopher, everything is breathtakingly beautiful. You're so creative and have excellent taste. I love your appreciation of antique/vintage everything and that you treasured those special items from your grandparents which have a very special place in your home and heart. Oh your sweet bird decided to show off his beautiful singing voice lol lol just loved it. Thank you for loving our past history, when people took great pride in their workmanship. I too love antiques, vintage things, and very fortunate to have a house/home built 95 years ago, a Craftsman Bungalow that I'm truly in love with and enjoy decorating. TFS...many blessings.

I love your home, it's beautiful, I love homes with character and your decorating style is impeccable, it was the perfect house for you! I think the doorbell bit was more of a sign than coincidence plus you have all these antique collections of postcards, furniture, the owls, etc. you will be very very happy in your new home! The finished attic was gigantic bonus!!! Loved the trees, absolutely gorgeous and the fireplace mantel with the garland and just so many details throughout the house makes it that more special. It's been awhile since I've posted a comment - stunning and breathtaking can't even come close. Just brings tears to my eyes - especially the tiny antique ornament tree.
