Amsterdam looks quite festive around the holidays! The boat cruise with all the lights looks so amazing and peaceful! One of my favorite things to check out around this time of the year is to check out all the Christmas lights! Awesome video!

That's so exciting! I just want to let you know that the ice skating rink isn't on Museumplein this year since that's a big change! But eat some delicious oliebollen ☺️

Yes did see that - luckily I'm not too bothered by the ice skating - I can't skate anyway :) @@aWanderlustForLife Looking forward to eating ALL OF THE FOOD 😋 Already booked a light festival tour but it's a fully enclosed boat (with drinks included though)

Have such a great time! I just want to let you know that the ice skating rink won't be on Museumplein this year 😕 But there are so many ways to have a fun trip, that you probably won't miss it!

I've been subscribed to your channel for a while now and I really enjoy your cheerful demeanor and positivity (I can't believe this channel doesn't have more subscribers). As a Dutchman (from The Hague myself) I'm always interested in how expats experience our tiny country and it's fun to see what other cities are up to during the holidays. The light art looks awesome. I think it was Boat Amsterdam but I like to recommend Those Dam Boat Guys because they are smaller boats but you bring your own drinks and snacks.

My one and only time in Amsterdam was December 2004. We did a canal cruise but I don’t remember there being a light festival. What our tour guide did say which I always wanted to fact check was that it is very common for Dutch people to keep their curtains open at night and to not worry about people seeing them in their homes. Is that true?

True. Many have a frosted privacy strip but i think that more the younger people. Our sheer curtains are common too. But I remember one night Sean got home and was shocked because he walked by a window and accidently saw a, ummm, VERY intimate moment with completely naked people.

Hi there! Yes, the Wireless Go is my go-to mic. I have the Micro in case anything happens to the Go, or if it's in a different setting and it's not just me speaking. It's completely changed my confidence with audio!

My family and I will be arriving on Christmas Day morning and will depart the next day to Portugal, so we have quite many hours to spend on Christmas day. We will be staying near airport and thinking to go to Centraal but just a bit afraid that nothing is open. Any suggestion what would be best to do?

Public transportation is still running and some of the famous museums are open. I'm sure you can find some great memories 😊

We have a lot of museums worth visiting. I would check out the iamsterdam website for inspiration.
