I had an uncle that went to Paris last Christmas he was 93 years old fell into a punch bowl full of egg nog Christmas day. Nobody saw that he was missing from the party for hours. He baicaly drowned in egg nog. Christmas day will always be a sad day for me .

am flying mimi xmas day landing thursday 26th hoping everything will be open and amazing - only 2.5 full days then out on sunday 29th hoping hop on hop off and Eiffel of course. been to paris in 2007 but taking hubby on a whirlwind weekend

@@namorn30nyc Wow.I don't know which airport you're arriving at,but I recommend booking with a transfer company to be taken to your hotel instead of using Uber.I think it would be less expensive.There is Your Guide or Welcome to get from the airport.I think you can check availability and price for the day you need it on the Your Guide site before you book.Usually during a strike the trains from the airport will only run at certain times and can be VERY packed.Uber drivers jack their prices way up.Paris is actually very walkable.There should be at least a couple of metro lines with some service and as a general rule if you choose a stop nearish to where you wanted to go,you will be only fifteen minutes walking from your destination.You could also rent a scooter.It sounds like this will be a trip to remember,I hope mostly in a good way.I wish they'd take a break during Christmas.Sorry your planned trip has had this stress put on it!!

I completely felt in love with Paris :) Now, I'm planning to return with my wife, but I can't still decide weather for Christmas or New Year's Eve. Which of the two celebrations would you recommend? Will Christmas lights and decorations be present in New Year's Eve?

Hi Mariano, Parisian here. I would prefer Noël time because it is more "family festive" and the "Villages de Noël" are still open but also Noël is a family celebration so after 9 PM it will be quiet unless you go to church. New Years eve is more for younger people to celebrate in Bars and Discothèques. It will last the whole night through, dancing and drinking. Just after that on January 6 you have Epiphany. This is the date of the wise kings coming to see Jesus child and for nowadays French to have a Galette des Rois (you may find them earlier, no problem)

Merry Christmas for everyone from Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun to the world . It's getting colder and colder in Tokyo . Already the main street trees and houses here and there and various hotels are shining brightly with pale , golden colored illuminations to celebrate Christmas and the New Year . The illuminations displayed on the street trees are as if each cherry blossoms are effulgent naturally on its own in the night view of Tokyo . Which national are you watching this video ？

Magical Christams? Only in Poland, I think. Amazing experience. Christmas markets also in Poland is unique and very special. Instead of a hotel room, try renting a room from a Polish family for the holidays. The Polish Christmas Eve is also amazing and the family with which you will be staying will certainly invite you to the table and traditional dinner together. Best cities: Warsaw, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Krakow, Rzeszow. Try it :)

I don’t celebrate Christmas but I would want to go because all the lights and shopping seems like it would be fun. The only thing stopping me is.....🥁🥁🥁 THE COLD!!!!! I’m from L.A. and have only seen snow ONCE in my whole life.....so yea....no. If anyone can please tell me if I would survive with just a warm coat???
