Our Christmas day, it was a busy one ! The kids were SOOOOO excited to come down to open all their presents and were so surprised with their gifts at the end ! Please excuse our disaster, we are in the middle of doing major renovations to our main floor.
After the kids were finished opening their presents, we headed to have dinner with the rest of our family.
This Christmas was our first Christmas without my mom. She absolutely loved Christmas. I didn't want to even celebrate Christmas this year but my mom would have hated that. She would expect me to pull myself together and make Christmas magical for the kids, because that's what she would have done for us when we were little. Christmas will never be the same for me but its important to keep it going the way we always have for my kids.
I miss my mom and still can't believe she wasn't with us for Christmas.
As hard as it was for everyone and even with all the tears, the kids still had a great Christmas. We are very thankful for our family.
