We journeyed home from Africa on Qatar Airways in their incredible QSuite. It made a 17 hour flight with 3 kids not just survivable, BUT ENJOYABLE!

We ourselves haven’t been “home” in Colorado for 2 years so we went to surprise our family! We flew to Colorado to see family for a few days and then took off in search of SNOW! Boy, did we find it in Lake Tahoe! We enjoyed a wonderful and cozy Christmas as a family. We are so grateful for this precious time together with our young children and we will cherish these memories forever. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and holiday season. You're raising some sweet & grateful children. It's refreshing to see they appreciate the little things that have more meaning. Something as simple as cotton candy, marshmallows or homemade jewelry is just as appreciated as the walkie talkies or the shaved ice machine. Love that they say thank you, Merry Christmas & give hugs after each gift is opened. It's so beautiful! That's how you raise good children.

The longing for a family as this doesn’t even make me jealous or angry that I had the total opposite in my life. A wonderful family. Seems like yesterday they were little kids, Cali not even born yet and now look at them! I love how every day Cali looks more & more like his brother. Love how they weren't showered with expensive gifts & how they were happy to get each one. Most of all it shows that the kids really love & like each other, they are not fighting or trying to out do each other. Good kids, good parents.

I lost my mom in November 2019, so I can kind of guess how you're feeling. I hope you find time, between the tears, to smile and remember all the love and joy she brought to your life and I'm sure the rest of your family's lives as well. I absolutely loved this video. While you guys were surrounded by the tree opening presents, I started to cry. 😭 You guys didn’t have a ton of presents under the tree, yet you were all SO THANKFUL and SO HAPPY for what you did receive. Even though some of the gifts were small like the water bottle sticker Dorthy received, or the candy, but you guys were all so appreciative, hugging each other and saying, “Merry Christmas.” It truly reminds you what the season is REALLY all about. It’s not about big lavish gifts, or who gets more presents, but it is about FAMILY. What a wholesome, beautiful video. ❤️ You guys make so much content of all of your travels which are amazing, but being back in the states and having alone time with your family, and just having a simple, special video, it was probably one of my favorites. ❤️ Merry Christmas, Bucket List Family. 🎄

I live far away from family and barely got to see any pics and only one short video of anything, and no calls to get to talk to anyone. Getting to see yours and especially the kids' the night before, then waking, and the present opening made my day so much brighter. Brought back lots of memories. Thanks for sharing. Omg! How I’d I just now notice how different Cali is starting to look? He’s looking older now, and his voice is even starting to sound a bit different. They’re all growing up so fast. So funny. They love the snow, yet Manila freaks out when his hand gets too cold from the snow lol Think he might like the heat a bit more😉😉 Love the hot tub in winter. My husband gave me 1 week in Fla with family. We also spent Christmas with family after 2 devastating loses. This year has been heartbreaking for our family and by the grace of God we pulled ourselves together for Christmas. All we needed were each other!!! Grateful wife, mom and sister in law! I appreciate that you guys value time over possessions and even the smallest gifts are valued. I just watched someone’s Christmas video where they probably spent $5k on gifts for a family of 6. I had to literally sell some of my furniture to afford Christmas for my one child and husband. Yet we just moved and have no money and I really appreciated the time we spent together even though I got slippers and some new curtains (which I love) this world is losing sight of what Christmas is all about. Totally blown away by your Christmas..... Filled with love and pure joy. It makes me wish I'd done things differently with my boys. (Albeit we enjoyed one of our best Christmas' yet in 2021.) If other cultures ask why we still celebrate Christmas, tell them because it can be like this....... and press play.
