I didn't yell when my mom gave me my pug two years ago but I hugged him and cried of happiness... now he is on my lap watching at this and his vet said he is the happiest pug he ever saw!!!

i don't buy my dogs i got them from a relative and they would just throw them if we did not afopt them and they lied to us because later on we fpund out one of them was sick so we gave it neccessary care and stuff here we have a lot of stray dogs even tho we can't adopt them we gave them food when they hang out with my dogs

My aunt’s version of Santa left a box of dog toys on the doorstep and a letter saying a puppy was on its way, so the kids could get their screaming out of the way and my aunt and uncle could tell them how to be quiet around a puppy. An hour later a box appeared on the doorstep with the puppy. They were calm and happy. Like....I’m all about cute surprises, but consider your kids dispositions or say “for this surprise you have to be verrrrrry quiet”.

Nearly half of the comments are saying how upset they are because of a scream. Yes it can be loud, but chances are the puppies aren't going to be scarred for life when they hear it. They may get a little bit scared, but that doesn't mean they will love their owners unconditionally.

Well the puppies stay in the boxes for 20 sec maximum so the problem is not air. The problem is that putting puppies in boxes and wrapping them like presents objectifies them. They’re living shows, not a thing for you to wrap and present as a gift!

JWC Productions - for Christmas it was more of a surprise. The kids reaction was probably intensified. If the parents told the kids beforehand to prevent the dog being deafened, then we probably wouldn’t feel so bad for the dog

King Jinxer I disagree with "don't" like it's some kind of order. But I would suggest it's better if the child is involved with choosing the pup so the child feels a sense of responsibility for bringing the new pet into the home.
