Before retiring to Florida, I lived in a small CT town on the shoreline. The town has homes that date to the 1700's and even earlier. Every year, the town paper would announce the day in December that everyone should put candles in the windows. Not very inclusive and rather arrogant, but the houses looked great! I still put candles in my windows here in Florida and have received compliments from neighbors. It's a simple, yet impactful way of acknowledging the season. I grew up in another New England town and at Christmas Eve Mass, all the lights would be put out and by candlelight the organist would sing "O Holy NIght". As the tenor finished, lights behind the windows would be illuminated, showcasing the stained glass as we left the stillness of the church. Still gives me goosebumps.

That is gorgeous! The roof line, the sparkles hanging from the trees, the motion lights; its all just perfect! Your neighbors are going to have a hard time living up to this amazing design! Love it 🎄
