I was just thinking after watching all these primitive homes, the time, money, years of collecting, that they have invested in their homes to make such beautiful, warm and comforting homes and welcomed us in to see their beautiful homes. I thank each and every woman that welcomed us in.

It amazes me how many wonderful primitive homes are in that part of the country.

I’m such a fan of primitive textile things…..I would like just ONE of those blue calico dresses LOL. The collections and the talented way they are displayed is magazine worthy. It's the home of someone who could teach others how to decorate in this style. Such a lovely home. Thank you for sharing it. I had a sofa like the yellow one in the living room. I loved the sofa and had it reupholstered several times before getting rid of it. I can’t seem to find a replacement. I would love to know where it’s purchased.

I love these houses. But just out of curiosity do they actually cook in those kitchens ? And where do the keep their food?
