My name is Kevin. I hope you will enjoy my videos of my great new life of early retirement in Dumaguete in the Philippines. Come along on my island hopping trips to beaches, snorkeling, mountains, waterfalls and other Philippine destinations. I’ll introduce you to friends, so you can learn about dating, finding a place to live, restaurants, and best places to buy groceries

You are 100% correct. Everyone is happy, and they are actually thankful for what they have. It may have been the best Christmas that I have spent as an adult, because everyone was so happy

As I commented to some foreigner's vlog before, I said that if a Brit or US foreigner can just adjust to the province life/food, their money would go really long, long way. And if you miss the city, just go AirBNB for like 5 days or whatever until you miss the tranquility of the countryside/province life.

Yea we had a great Christmas, went up to Cafe Alicia up into the mountains in the rain forest, in our new car. The rain was surely there that day. Then we had a fantastic dinner at a local restaurant a 10 minute walk. Highly recommend it: Arbour. High class European dining, run by a young German chef and Philippine wife. We are going there again for New Years brunch. Look forward to see you guys in the new year. 🎉Happy New Year

Nice quiet area where Jennalyn's family lives. I think every Filipino party includes a kareoke machine which all seems to have the volume cranked to the max, They must glue it in that position :) Thanks for the video Kevin and take care !

Kevin that was a very nice house by province standards and I think you sacred some with the camera as they are shy people and I hope you volunteered or contributed as they literally brought out a celebration dinner probably in your honor as that was a Very Big deal as you truly were the Guest of Honor. Jenna Lynn was super sweet as always. So if you end up being serious with her this may be where she'll want to live verses Dumaguete. And it was so nice for them to welcome you into their home as Filipino people are so welcoming and kind. it reminded me of first time I met my Filipina's family as it was during one of the Festival days.

Kev, you were just 1 John Candy away from this being your "Trains, Planes & Automobiles" holiday video! Wow, that was an amazing gathering; it shows how great her family is to take you in so warmly. That fountain show, I never expected to see something that elaborate in a province setting. Pity the sound cut out during your singing debut... probably saves clicks though, hehehee. Great time but a good lesson on holiday travel there, thanks.

Nice you had young Lechon and everyone was having a good time. My wife's family went to the beach. They swam and I brought a pair of metal detectors - Tito Peter found a wrench in the sand and was quite thrilled with the find. The surf was too rough and low tide for fishing so the ladies cooked the squid bait that I had brought and served it to the family 😆
