I come back to this video every so often. I was there that night - what a Friday night, man. I had barely slept throughout that week after several exams and assignments along with my internship. I was starting my application to graduate school too since it was my last semester of undergraduate studies. I think I had averaged 4-5 hours of sleep per night that week but that evening, I was wired and ready to see Kingfish! After a 15 minute drive, I was at Club XL and once Kingfish started playing, everything from that week just seemed to disappear. I will never forget that night, especially when he walked the crowd and played about 6 feet away from me. Best damn concert I have been too thus far.

Several years ago, I happened across a KZfaq video of the late Michael "Iron Man" Burks playing this (his) song live. And ever since it remains one of my all time favorite blues rock songs. I now own every Michael Burks CD and play with great regularity. I can't think of a better performer to carry on the Iron Man's music than Christone "Kingfish" Ingram. I am so excited about seeing him perform this live in the near future. Many thanks for the videos Natasha and the promotion of the genre.

Wow, the first time I heard this song for "kingfish" and I was amazed, amazing how this man plays. I always heard her on Eric Steckel's videos.
