Christopher, my 13 year old son and I were assembling his computer from the parts we purchased from Microcenter. The lack of resources available in the product documentation and even the articles/videos I found made the process very long and frustrating...note: I have my master's in EE (about 25 years ago, although I haven't done tech work for a while). And then I found this video...you are absolutely brilliant!!! I wish I had this video first...I feel the 4 hours we spent before finding your video were basically wasted as we leveraged your video from the beginning to make sure we didn't do anything wrong. And, we did, in fact, find a few minor things which would have been very difficult to debug without your instructions. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I also joined your service!

You have the most detailed guide I have ever seen! I greatly appreciate the time and effort you took to produce this. I used this to get me through my entire build that was frustrating me because it was an over night build that took many more hours than it should have. I only just found your time stamps after 2 days of having my build put together and there is apparently more I need to do. A like, a comment, and subscription in my eyes are not enough to thank you for the wonderful guide!

Agreed! I've not upgraded in 3 years after building my own for almost 15 years before that. The ability to jump to the bits I needed to skill up on was great. Thanks for putting the time in on this! Out of interest, would you have had space to top mount the rad?

@@urfolomeus Most cases nowadays cannot support 360 rad on top. 240/280 rad on top, yes. With 280 it's really tight and u might have some ram clearance issues, so make sure u have really low profile rams. 240 on top is your best choice. Edit: actually, on some smaller cases a 240 might even have ram clearance issue.

Christopher, I massively appreciate your INCREDIBLY DETAILED guide!! I had watched some build guides and assumed I was competent. I was going to do my build with a friend, but because we had a COVID scare, my wife and I are doing a hard quarantine. I started building by myself, and felt utterly completely lost and anxious. Some build videos had terrible angles, explaining what they were "doing"--but what they were "doing" was off screen!! Your build was far more advanced than what I was going for (ASUS x570 / AMD 3700x [stock cooling] / RTX 2060 S / 2x8 Ballistix 3600 RAM / 500gb m.2 / 1tb SATA) but this was incredibly helpful. The tip to remove that HDD bay was good advice, even if I was scared to take out the fans lol (since I'd never worked with so many cables before hahah). Thanks again for such a super detailed and step-by-step guide, and done at a perfectly reasonably pace. I was so scared getting into this but man you got me thru it.

This is such an amazing build guide! You explain the basics so well but add in some much other details (e.g. how to connect RBG, explaination of air pressure, fan placements and software information) that most youtubers don't even bother including. This extra information is often what we are looking for in build guides!

Really appreciate your making this. It's thorough, detailed, and full of good information. This being the first PC I've built from scratch since about 2000, I really needed a good tutorial, and yours is stellar. I really like how you don't do cutaways when placing the parts. Many other tutorials don't actually do this and just sort of snap to "LOL IT'S DONE LOOK AT IT MOVING ON" but there are parts that require careful orientation, positioning, and the amount of strength required to install or remove components.

I really appreciate the quality of this video. I feel like I completely understand all the pieces of my computer (at least in terms of building haha) because of you. It's such a large difference between "k just plug in your wires to your mobo" and "this is what every single wire does and what it needs to connect to, also a good order to do things, etc." Also appreciate the additional "heres what to do when you've got something showing up on a screen".

I will echo the gratitude of the others; I hated building my PC until I found this video. I should have looked for a build guide for my specific case in the first place; removing the HDD/SATA tray was a game changer for my giant PSU. Thank you endlessly, my music production PC is now operable thanks to the relaxed, organized and detailed delivery of instruction you provided in this video. So many thanks!

Your video was a lifesaver! Thanks for the great job, it really made my new pc build possible. I enjoyed much of the video, however I do have some feedback; I was struggling to understand the whole motherboard and pins, I wish it were easier to point out. I know it is difficult to keep the camera focused and not blocked by hands, but maybe next time you can circle the specific pins to make it more clear. Again, the video was otherwise great and saved me lots of time and stress, it was just that one part that had me frustrated. One again, thank you so much for the in depth video and I look forward to learning more from you!!! :)

My man. You are a godsend. Got this exact case and your step by step made this the best first build for me. From the prep work to the order of things for cable managing and plugging in without obstacles. And that Hard drive remove, perfect, SOOOOOOO much open space now thanks to that. I went to the Linus Tech Tips POV 'How To Build A PC' video that is highly suggested by all builders but this one by far helped me the most and got me through it clean and easy. I'm not sure I would've been able to build through the other guide tbh I need to see it step-by-step and you took the time and effort to do just that. Thank you so much!

Thanks for the guide, appreciate it. Quick question: Wouldn't the intake fans at the bottom be drawing in hot/warm air since they are located directly ABOVE the PSU, hence heating up the GPU/whole ecosystem instead?

If you have enough tube to reach, radiator should be flipped so that the tubes are at the bottoms of the case, that way you wont have any air pockets in the pump.

Timothy you should rewatch the GN video and followup video because you didn't understand it, nor should you spread your new found 'knowledge' like a twat. Gravity? You're going to be fighting gravity tubes bottom or tubes up. It's the air in the loop that's the problem.

Torxx installing it that way only effects noise. “Sometimes” If you watch the video again he says that installing with radiator in the front tubes down it can shorten the life of your aio.
@Xanth1um
@Xanth1um 3 жыл бұрын
Nolan Hansen it's best to work with gravity not against it. So having them down wouldn't shorten its life. Thus you can run into pump noise issues and/or air pockets in the radiator since the tubes are at the top instead of the bottom to help the pump with better flow.
