I swear! I truly done it all very young and seen too much. I even was outside stuck with 2 men during a shootout at the club I worked at and I’m hiding by the car they were next to when shooting. I cud have gotten shot being a witness, they knew I was out there but I kept circling the car so they cudnt see me. I truly am blessed to be here. That lifestyle is not okay and it’s played out. I don’t miss the drugs, the feeling I felt the day after, the stuff I saw. Life is so much better simple. I wud rather stay home watching a good show or movie than be out and not kno if im coming home that night

Moral of the story... Don't try to live the American dream. Stay true to your roots, don't lead shallow and pretentious lives to fill the hole in your empty soul. If one is easily impressed by wealth and luxury, one will fall prey to certain people, especially as a young woman.

I will never ever forget being 14 years old and watching a former homicide detective on Oprah who said: Never ever let someone take you from location A to location B. 2 decades later when I was in my mid thirties I was asked by someone if I would like to join him for coffee. I did. We remained in the bookshop's coffee shop. Then he asked if I wanted to drink something "harder" ie alcohol and those detective's words shot through my head and I politely declined. I was not moving to location B.

We had a police officer come to our school to talk to the girls about personal safety. He said exactly the same thing. Once you've been transported somewhere, you've lost some of your independence and power. You've potentially been isolated from those who will look out for you. Never ever forgotten that - its wise advice.

@@InLieuTube That is not entirely accurate. If it saves your life, go ahead and apply it to whatever you wish i.e. like the above person did with a complete stranger. Why would you negate that message by arguing semantics? It’s completely tone-deaf and tactless….there is a far more tactful way of stating that while it can be applied to any event…they mean it ESPECIALLY when -insert your quotes-. It can *still* be applied in any situation you feel iffy about where there are two differences locations and a stranger or person who makes you feel off. I live in Vegas. Been around here since high school and I'm now in my late 40s. This is not about blaming victims. Just what I observed from living in a town like this. So many many bad choices are being made. Taking drinks and drugs from strangers. Leaving with strangers to go who knows where. I've seen women and men wandering around casino floors bleary-eyed, lost, and sun burned. Where are their friends?? Please please be careful. Actions have consequences. Nothing good will come from doing lines of coke with strangers and definitely don't leave with them. Every year that EDC comes around we brace ourselves for young people dying in the desert. There are so many predictors like Pierce in LA that I decided not to go to the clubs ever. as a 27-year-old also living in LA, and being relatively new to LA, this case always cut deep for me. I think about this case a lot from time to time. It is so easy for our generation to meet people out in these environments, who seem like nice, fun people. It’s so easy for them to offer you a bump of some thing, and if you feel like you’ve hit it off with them even in the slightest, you feel like you can trust them. all it takes is one wrong bump from someone you thought you could “trust”, and your life can be over.

Don’t try to control women like that. It’s absolutely fine as woman to go out alone as long as you watch your drink like a hawk, don’t take anything (drinks, drugs) from anyone, don’t leave with anyone, and wait in a well-lit public place for your Uber (or park in a well-lit public place if you’re not drinking and are driving yourself). I was drugged while at a high level venture capitalist private dinner while attending a conference. Fortunately, I was rescued by someone in attendance who knew me well and had never seen me behave in that manner before. I was sick for days afterwards. It was horrible. During dinner, I had 1 shot of single malt and then took a glass of a second single malt as dinner ended and we were moving from the table to the bar area. You know, malingering, some sitting, some standing, slowly moseying away. That 2nd drink was offered to me by some guy I sat next to at dinner. I had a few sips from that second glass and then everything began going out of focus. It was very sudden. I have a vague recollection of moving away from the dinner table and into the bar area, still sipping the scotch, and then the VC trying to convince me to go clubbing. But I'm not into clubbing, so I refused to go and the tension level began to rise. It was as the VC was trying to forcefully maneuver me reluctantly from the bar area and out of the door, while I was resisting him saying I did not want to go that a colleague intervened. Thankfully. I never was tested. Even worse, I was at that conference with my husband, and he refused to believe that I only had 1 shot (served to me at the table) and a few sips from the 2nd scotch that was handed to me by the guy who sat next to me during dinner. My husband insisted I must have drank substantially more. But I did not. I don't do drugs at all, I never have. Afterwards, I had the shakes for days. Having a drug-induced blackout plus not being believed by the person who should have trusted me most left me mentally upset for months. In fact, it was the beginning of the end of our marriage. My husband contacted the VC who claimed I drank like a fish at the dinner, so he is unsurprised I was severely hungover. My husband believed the VC, probably because he was looking for business. I was extremely lucky nothing more happened to me other than extreme embarrassment and brain fog. I was in my 40s at the time, but most thought I was 25 years old. I could not imagine that I could become a victim of a predator at that age bcz to me I was not a young girl, tho I knew people often thought I was 20 years younger. This was also before awareness of the more recent insanely wealthy sex scandals and perverts were publicised. I could NEVER imagine someone who was worth triple figures in the millions would risk his career by doing something so insane, naively not comprehending the degree of power such substantial wealth wields. I guess that was what the Venture in VC really meant. Never take a drink offered to you by another unless you trust that person with your life.

I feel so bad for the families. But keep in mind these women did not deserve this in any way, but they put themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. Do not go back to someone’s house to do drugs. And the boyfriend is sugarcoating her involvement with drugs previously. The burning man is specifically a drug induced Rave out in the desert. He knew that she was doing drugs and lied about it. It sounds heartless, but if these women had never gone to a rave and did drugs (according to their own texts) and going back to a complete strangers house. They would be alive today. Young people think they are invincible

Their guards were off, they were too trusting I suspect. I’ve done similar stupid things in my past for being too trusting, naive and stupid, taken drugs from newly met “friends” in the club. I’m petrified that I could have died so many times. I believe that angels were watching over me, there is no way I was so lucky for no reason. I took ecstasy, MDMA and tranquilizers. The very last time I took supposedly ecstasy was something else , it barely felt any high however the side effects were incredibly severe. I’m sure it was some identifiable mixture in that pill. I was moaning from pain and sickness, all organs in my body were aching, I literally was just laying in bed and moaning after that night out. I haven’t took drugs since.

Dear Women, Remember and spread the message of the Whisper Movement. Tell all the girls and women you know. Whenever a man interacts with you anywhere; school, college, work etc. Always tell your friends every thing about him. Especially if he is a man in a position of power. If he's bad tell them he's bad and what he did. And tell them to spread the word to other women and so on. A man's bad deeds must be known to every woman in that organization. Save any messages that he may send you. Take screenshots. Forward them to women. Quietly share all his dirty deeds and secrets with all the women. Do not let him take the advantage of your silence. Build a network and warn women. Women must know who to stay away from. Spread the word. Do not keep quiet. It's because of silence that men like these get away with so much. So many women had suffered before these two girls but it was unknown to other women. Get together and destroy these filthy incels and ra.pists.

My son, who is nearly 40-years old, spent years struggling with heroin addiction and made it to a stable, happy drug-free life. That was well before fentanyl hit the scene. Anyone doing any kind of drugs in this time period - is playing russian roulette. First fentanyl and now tranq. It is totally not worth the risk. Two beautiful young women. My father was a double transplant recipient. When I heard that Hilda's organs were given to others, I was so sad for her family, and so overjoyed for the families whose loved ones will live more years due to this one family's generosity. When they said she died one day before her 27th birthday, my immediate thought was, "No, not really. Elsewhere, families are celebrating her birthday while they celebrate the renewed lives, hopes, and dreams of the ones she saved." Thank you, Cabrales family. You'll never know the lives Hilda has saved by your generosity. I hope you know that the ripple effect of her death now includes so much good in the world because of your actions.
