I have been thinkin about that a bit for the last few days about meeting your heros, it can be true sometines, i met eddie furey from the furey brothers and i asked him if i could have a chat and he wasnt very cool about it, it hurts because as a musician myself i have studied him but i met his brother george and what a seriously lovely fella, we only stopped talkin because his people were tellin him they have to leave, i would love to meet shane mcgowan but im scared he would tell me to fuk off amd that would break my little heart lol

Christy whatever you decide to sing is just wonderful, if i was to make a request it would be, The good ship kangaroo, the other would be the Raggle Taggle Gypsy on The bodhrán, I saw you perform this in cardiff in the 90's and you signed my book, it was breathtaking . Much love to you and yours.

Hi Christy ,just come across your lockdown series. Well done. I have been a fan of yours for many years I am a Glaswegian ,and used to go to see Hamish Imlach ,even Robin Hall and Jimmy mcgregor so that gives you an idea of my age. I have been to many of your concerts. Barrowland Glasgow Concert Hall and the Point in Dublin Our last visit to see you in Dublin was a bit of a bugger as your amplifiers at our side of the hall were not functioning as they should but fair play to you ,you just kept belting it out the reason I am dropping you note is to ask you to sing a song for me (Although my two favourites are bright blue rose and the first time I saw your face )we used to have the cd on in the car and sing along with the rose one(in fact I have arranged to have it played at my funeral. The song I would dearly love to hear your rendition (although you will find it not to your liking is the song called MAGGIE (when you and I were young) I would dearly love to hear this from yourself as I lost her a few years back and it’s hard without her. And as I AM AN ORDINARY MAN I still can CRY LIKE A MAN when I hear the song MAGGIE so Christy if you do read this and are going to do another lockdown. Please pleas find a space. Give my regards to Declan if he is still around. God bless you and as they say in Scotland “LANG MAY YER LUM REEK”.

Never thought I would not be able to stomach your music, you are no more Republican patriot than the Queen of England. You don't support freedom of speech, freedom of movement, freedom of thought, the freedom to be a proud Irish man or woman. Sad.
