I used to love this guy when I was a little kid!!! At the time his shooting star was put of this world!!! I remember seeing it for the first time and being so blown away!! Evan Bourne's shooting star literally became a highlight of my Monday nights!! He definitely made me jump outta my seat a countless number of times!!!

I found it rich when he tried to pass off some of the blame to chris, he made chris's job way more difficult in that first interview. Its also rich that this comment section is full of people talking about how great of a guy this arrogant prick is. He's a very talented athlete but his character as a person rubbed me the wrong way during this interview

And yeah how he tried to say Chris mentioning Even Bourne “ put him off “ in the first interview is dumb asf and when he said he needs to be in a whole different mindset to talk about Evan bourne which he will be able to do all of a sudden now in this interview. Mate the Only thing that’s changed from the first interview is that you’re no longer on drugs 😂

lol same like it was clear first interview and it was kind of a shame seeing him run around that fact since he seems a lot better here. but like.... hell we all had a few too many bro, its okay to admit you fucked up and handled the next round (if you get one; as he did, that much better). kudos to chris for not being like "mf you were high" though i do feel like that face rubbing question was a "bro, dont test me cus you got a problem" remark lol.

Yeah, the first interview was uncomfortable. Chris pushed through like a pro, but man! Matt was NOT feeling that interview last time. This was a fantastic return!

Wish chris would've asked who came up with the idea that Michael Nakazawa was the one to sabotage the ropes with baby oil and that's what made you loose his balance. And for the match with Michael he tried to do it again but he caught it before he went up to do his finisher.

I love Love hearing that Matt is doing well spiritually, mentally, and physically. It's a bonus that he's getting all these bookings amid the COVID crisis and he's doing alright financially right now. He looks good on AEW TV and he was fantastic in the #ROHPure tourny. I binged it all this past Monday night. I was crushed when I saw him slip at Double or Nothing, but I felt better after seeing him joke about it in skits with Michael Nakazawa on BTE. Faboo is awesome, as well, a solid worker with an over the top gimmick. Cool to know he's being tained by the great Airbourne!

If you go back and watch the previous interview, and then watch and study this interview with his comments about the past; it doesn't take long to understand he had a cocaine and muscle relaxer issue.

@@matthewkoster9967 Pain killer and muscle relaxer are pretty much categorized together. I think he had a Cocaine issue, not a Meth or Heroine issue. Most guys who take muscle relaxers will use Cocaine, guys who take the opioid Pain Killers are likely to smoke Meth, snort or shoot Heroine. He had injuries, started taking somas didn't like the fatigue it gave so he started taking bumps to get lifted. The combination of the two is a deadly cocktail.

I saw Matt in like 2002 or 2003 with Gateway Championship Wrestling and was blown away even then. Shortly thereafter I started training in a hard ring and at least tried to wrestle.

Thoroughly enjoyed this interview. Always been an Evan Bourne/Matt Sydal fan, but seeing this has made me even more of a fan. He seems very down to earth and I love his perspective on pro wrestling. Hope he does more in AEW 'cos he's a perfect fit for them to be honest

I remember when I was waiting for Evan Bourne to return after AirBoom lost the Tag Team titles, but that was before I figure out that WWE released Superstars wether it’s Drug Test failed, expired contract, personal reasons, etc. Evan and Kofi were my favorite Tag Teams.
