The only disadvantage of Paku's ability but also showing her kindness (not saying it's right that they're slaughtering people without care tho), is that she takes in all memory of the person, not just the info they need, but everything related. So they saw how Kurapika has these kind friends who actually wish that he would not kill anyone. Maybe they don't chase after Kurapika in order to protect Chrollo but they certainly don't hate Gon and Killua for being his friend (they're able to understand Kurapika as a person). Pardon me for this long-winded analysis as this is my favourite arc of anime of all time that's why I'm replying even after 3 years...

@@WR_Hart No, the point is making an impossible decision that can't be answered. Example: You have two twin dogs but can only save one. Which will you save? That's an IMPOSSIBLE decision. Choosing to save your friends over killing is just a priority thing. There is no priority with the question above.

It's crazy that if the Spider really was willing to sacrifice Chrollo, this series would be over. Legit the only reason they get to walk away is because the Spider decided they want to keep the boss alive. Kurapika could not fight multiple Troupe members at once, let alone manage to restrain all of them simultaneously. And everyone else in the squad isn't even up to Kura's level lol.

Dude Hunter X Hunter has some of the best writing in any anime I've ever seen, they somehow make you enjoy or even root for some of the most cold hearted and villainous people only a few episodes after hating them!

i love this arc so much, it's my favorite out of them all T__T it's crazy that during this whole time, kurapika technically only got 1/8 of his revenge, but it took SO much out of him. imagine that he'd have to do all this 7 more times to complete his revenge?? i agree with you that the ending is really fitting for arc, even though we all expected it to end with kurapika killing most of them. the phantom troupe are great characters that deserve to stay in the game for a while longer lol

apart from all the times it tries makes you care about the ants feelings which just doesnt work, and the bullshit way a newborn ant is more powerful than netero just because his mother ate a few thousand weak humans, the best arc finished this episode.

@@evoke97 there are plenty of videos on why the ca arc is great so i wont waste time writing a whole ass essay, but just know that the themes and messages would not have worked if meruem wasnt as insanely strong as he was. Yorknew and CA arcs are exercises in very different styles of writing that subvert shonen tropes in their own way and shows how much of a genius togashi is.

This arc is my second favorite for the series. This next one just couldn't compare. It isn't bad, but it is more like the start of the show. But the arc that comes after Greed Island is my favorite for the series. No one is ever ready for it and many find themselves in tears during it. Bow before the King!

for some reason i like greed island a lot even though i dont think its that good compared to the other arcs maybe its the vibe, it feels nice, also the ending theme "REASON" is really nice, same reason with fly me to the moon whenever a neon genesis evangelion episode ends (i have currently finished episode 15, so no spoilers pls)

There are no villiians in this story, just people... There are alot of bad people(lol)... But none of them even really care about Gons existence... which is crazy to think of in a Shonen series. Sidenote: Keep in mind how unbreakable Gon's compassion seems...

To clarify things, each second kurapika uses emperor's time with his scarlet eyes takes an hour from his life. So that's the reason why he passes out and gets very tired after.

Togashi is stumped after what happened to Gon after Chimera arc. He needs something to make Gon come back. Im guessing Kurapika helping Gon using the Nen beasts and somehow making Gon gain a powerup.

"I thought he'd still be nasty". Without nen, Hisoka could probably kill him just by releasing aura toward just like he almost broke Gon and Killua in the tower arena before they learned nen. He's really really not worth fighting. I'm sure he's still godly strong compared to normal humans but to a decent nen user he's not a fight.

in the old Hunter X the scene where Paku uses her Nen and the chain slowy become more rigid is just heartbreaking dude. *Hisoka and Chrollo's fight actually happened in the manga.* [Spoiler] - After Chrollo got his nen back of course. They fought at heavens arena. It was epic :) I hope I can see it animated (if ever the current manga arc is finished. The author is having mental issues. Physical as well.)

Greed island is a very important arc. It's basically training for Gon and Killua to improve their nen and powerup. You don't expect kodashi to just move from this arc to the ant arc and have Gon and Killua fighting the ants, that will be bullshit writing I think
