lollipop joy see in AOM the aim is drainage so it is better to be done inferior while in SOM the aim is drainage by suction then ventilation (air) so better to be up in the least epithelial migration area to stay awhile there however in our clinical practice in the real life ot is done either anteroinferior or posteroinferior.

Please doctor I didn't get the pathway of fluid after surgical myringotomy and ventilation tube?

Suction of fluid is done during the procedure before inserting the tube. From which air is coming inside. The issue of recurrence of fluid is possible of course but in presence of tube for some months duration will allow fluid to drain out easily

@@DrHazemAbdelTawab okay.. But draining of the fluid out is annoying to the patients, isn't it? How will patients cope with?

@@user-zz5hz8km1i It is not like this. After good suctioning and insertion of tube usually no fluid is coming out unless acute infection
