I really like reapmon in the series. If there was a bit more detail in his backstory he would definitely have been a fan favorite. He has so much potential as a character much like Black Wargreymon. All he needs is more detail in who he is as a character and he would be set. How he digivolves isn't terrible either. The design of Beelzemon is very much like what you said, 'A rising Demon'. He never truly was evil, he just had an internal conflict that he had to face.

Yeah that's why he was my favorite character of the season, but to my memory after this set of episodes Beelzemon stopped developing as a character, only showing up when he was needed for evolution. I could be wrong been a while since I watched Fusion.

Pretty late. But this was awesome. Reapmon is an interesting digimon who I don’t believe was handled to his full extent. Then again, he’s my favourite ultimate level (he’s treated as an ultimate in difficult games and on the digimon pendulum 20th) so I may be a bit biased. But I have to agree with something: shoutmon has plot armour!

Reapmon/Baalmon is awsome. Though can we talk about how Reapmon/Baalmon evolves from Wizardmon, if you look at both deaths side by side you'll see that they're literally almost the same, and the manga is just the icing on the cake when you find out that unlike in the anime Omnimon/Omegamon is not the one who gave Mikey/Taiki his Xros Loader. The fan-service for Wizardmon in Xros Wars is strong.

@@coolhorselover234 Wizardmon is best boi, I guess. Pretty much my favourite adventure character so I ain't complaining. And they do have similar roles. They both seemed to be working for the bad guy but secretly have their own agenda. Plus the two digimon look incredibly similar in general, what with the hair, obscured faces and zips. So, when they confirmed through the games and vpets that wizardmon is one of reapmon's possible prior form, I guess everyone was just like "knew it."

@@mask3773 Suppose so. But with nature, I think wizardmon makes more sense than sorcerimon, since, according to the reference, reapmon is a demon that collects souls and sorcerimon has holy magic. But yeah, I do agree on the aesthetics. And… I’ve not seen too much of mistymon. I don’t think it was in new century but I could be wrong. A part of me thinks they are trying to switch over the lines or establish a new line. One associated with candlemon, the other impmon. Because the impmon/wizardmon/Reapmon/beelzemon is pretty damn popular.

Gotta say, " Baalmon's" arc was one of the best moments in this season. From acting as a resident who survived the tragedy in Sandoria to acting as a double agent to finding out the one behind it all to being one of Team Xros Heart's key members, I find him and his character arc great. Also Fusion is bad as a dub, but I wouldn't consider it to be a Pokemon ripoff, unless you considered the Hunters arc, where it's episodic and collecting. One more thing, the dub names from the season are no longer used anymore as of the TCG, so please use the original Japanese/ Xros Wars terminology ( Taiki instead of Mikey, Xros Heart instead of Fusion Fighters, etc.)

@@ChronicleReviews9MC I just wish they'd quit killing characters they line with wizardmon at some point 😭. I mean I get that these characters are usually a way for the main cast to grow or learn something but still. Still love this character tho, if I could meet certain characters he'd be one.

Well impmon never died in tamers though he came close multiple times and probably should've and I'm not sure about fusion I gave up on that one when they started recycling the same plot every 2 episodes. Normally it's just lemon that gets axed off but while I fell off the adventure reboot for a while I did hear he survived for once.
