Likewise society has also formed certain norms for well being. I would like to add that as per bagawath geeta (word of god) the 4 castes that is Brahmin, ksatriya, vyshya and shudra are based on one's work (karma/action) and not based on birth. Therefore it is possible for brahmin to be born to a shudra ( example valmiki, vyasadeva were brahmins despite born to parents who were shudra). Likewise viswamitra born as kshatriya became brahmin and so on and so forth. Over the ages, Most often the son follows the father's foot steps and therefore a brahmins son also became learned and automatically became a brahmin. Down the ages the system got corrupted and people started assigning caste based on birth and that was a problem that needed to be addressed.

Brother some caste traditionally practised professions which led to spread of diseases among the masses therefore the practice of untouchability was devised to protect the rest of the population. It was a common practice in Japan, Korea & China read about Burakumin. I disagree with Guruji. There is difference between Prevention Based Untouchability and Caste Based Untouchability. If someone is suffering from a viral disease then social distancing and untouchability from him is totally valid and scientific and the disease doesn't occurs to a specific man of specific caste. Most importantly the Prevention Based Untouchability is temporary not permanent. No He did not say that . He said , when untouchability is based on science and reasoning etc then it is valid but when it is based on hatred , greed etc then that is wrong . For eg a person who cleans sewers etc if he has not cleaned himself up and is trying to hug another person and the other person objects then it is fine but when it is used for exploitation , politics etc , it is wrong . Thus even if a Brahmin does sewer cleaning , you can choose not to touch him without him cleaning himself and in the same way if a Shudra is clean , there is no reason to not hug him .

@Rohit Mathpal He never mentioned caste, according to his views he was giving examples where physical distancing, social isolation and untouchability's are practiced. In the pre industrial days, certain professions were considered "unclean", so they were physically isolated. I personally think it is injustice and inhuman especially in today's day and age. Having said that, I can understand why it was practiced at those times and even done today depending on circumstances. If you listen carefully, the also says any practice done excessively is also bad.

@Rohit Mathpal No one is defending anything. Understanding dehegelified versions of history and basic evolution are important. Untouchability had a place; where it was not discriminatory but a necessity. It might have a different understanding in a "modernized" setting but everything depends on desh, kaal and samay so yeah!

@Rohit Mathpal Birth based discrimination 🤡🤡 Bruh the topic is untouchability not discrimination If you're talking about discrimination then even Kshatriya Vishwamitra was discriminated and was not let to become a brahmarshi And talking about untouchability then not all shudras were considered untouchable and it happened only in some parts of India (not all over India as famously believed) Temple cleaners , dancers , architects were all shudras ever heard they were not allowed in temple Historically speaking there were many travellers who visited India in ancient times and none of them reported untouchability (for shudras) And speaking of Shambook he was killed because he broke law by doing tapas in his Grihastaashram (and not in sanyasaashram) even if a kshatriya or a vaishya does this he is deserves to be killed And Karna??
