--------
In this clip, Chuck D explains how concerts were halted amid the coronavirus pandemic, and he predicted how they will change in the future. While speaking about his group Profits of Rage with B-Real and Tom Morello, Chuck D detailed how screens changed concerts and how many people venues could pack inside due to more visibility. He then added that Profits of Rage played for 900,000 at a show with Eminem, but he thinks that companies like Live Nation will move to smaller cafe-like venues in the future.

Eminem is the biggest selling rapper of all time and outsold every rapper in the 2000's and 2010's, two decades in a row hell he might even out do everybody with 2 or 3 more albums in the 2020's. In our lifetime you wont see that again.. Eminem is top 3 goats ever whether you like it or not

@ themadrapper101, No fuckin way he’s top 3. Eminem is a guest just like Jamar said. And FYI Em has publicly admitted the reason he’s sold some many records is because he’s white. White people show unbelievable support when a white person appropriates black culture.

@@attainingknowledgeoftruth8348Em also recently said why other white acts in Hip-Hop don't sell like him? It not only because he's white that he sold well because if that was the case, more white rappers would also sell just as or close enough to Em. White rap acts don't even last long in Hip-Hop. WTF did Ice T and Ice Cube tell you that had any value? They are both fake as hell. Public Enemy told you what was going on and what the people needed to do. The thing that really showed me Ice Cube was a fake and paid to promote negativity is this. Ice Cube made a few negative comments against Jewish people on his records and in interviews. He also said them in an angry "hateful" way. Where as Professor Griff from Public Enemy had an interview where he discussed Jewish people and said some negative things but it was in a calm "political" way. It was two people having a debate basically and Professor Griff didnt agree with cirtain things some Jewish people did. Outcome for Ice Cube: No problems, carry on, no fines no nothing. Outcome for Professor Griff: HEADLINES OF EVERY NEWS PAPER SAYING HE WAS ANTI SEMETIC, KICKED OUT OF PUBLIC ENEMY...a lot ot bad stuff happend to him. He had to go underground for years. The reason being was that Public Enemy had a positive message that the government was afraid of. Ice Cube had a message the government was all for, promotion of Black Genocide.

So they can take all the wonderful knowledge gems and help expand on classic ideas. Take nuggets from the old school and add your own spice to it. Like Sidney Poitier to Denzel Washington / Julius Erving to Michael Jordan to Kobe Bryant / James Brown to Michael Jackson / Michael Mann to Christopher Nolan and so on.

Institutional Racism-unequal impacts and outcomes based on race, produced by key societal institutions such as the health care and housing systems, and education and employment systems. These institutions are racist when the impact of their policies, practices and power is to advantage and disadvantage whole groups of people along racial lines. When an individual acts within the context of an institution, and help to perpetuate these racial inequities, these actions are no longer just interpersonal actions, but rather institutional actions. (Thus, when a police officer treats a member of the public with racial bias--such as giving white people the benefit of the doubt while presuming people of color are guilty-- this action is institutional racism since the police officer is acting as a representative of a law enforcement institution.) Unequal impacts based on race are the measure of institutional racism, regardless of whether or not the disproportionate and discriminatory effects are intentional. Institutional racism is not just carried out by white people but also by people of color acting in institutional capacities, "just doing their jobs" and implementing decisions that have a negative effect on people of color. •Structural Racism in the U.S. is the normalization and legitimization of an array of dynamics--historical, cultural, institutional and interpersonal--that routinely advantage whites while producing cumulative and chronic adverse outcomes for people of color. Structural racism encompasses the entire system of white domination, diffused and infused in all aspects of society, including its history, culture, politics, economics and entire social fabric. Structural racism is more difficult to locate in a particular institution because it involves the reinforcing effects of multiple institutions and cultural norms, past and present, continually reproducing old, and producing new forms of racism. Structural racism is the most profound and pervasive form of racism-all other forms of racism emerge from structural racism.

Vlad.. I love your podcast, but you interrupt entirely too much. When interview the great Chuck D, you just let him speak uninterrupted. Keep up the good work Vlad.

I think maybe all the vlad hate comes from people that just hate that he is welcomed and respected by important players in the culture. They jealous that in the real world, their heroes would rather have dinner and hang with vlad than them. They don’t understand that he’s more part of hip hop than the average blacks person who doesn’t even know how to play an instrument, make music, yet wants to call out who can be in hip hop and who can’t.
