Hey CEC fan here, so one thing about the whole Charlie thing is, although it’s not explained in the movie, Charlie has been a long time friend of Chuck and has even had his own songs in the cec shows. This explains why Chuck is ready to help Charlie since he was already a pre-established character back then, however for a regular person viewing it they wouldn’t of known that since the movie doesn’t establish that except for pasquallys line saying “Im sure you all know Charlie rockit”.

@@JusticeKorsgaard Yeah, Charlie Rockit was a puppet in the early CEC shows that had two distinct voices for singing & speaking roles. At least this movie paid homage to Charlie, and the Awesome Adventure Machine, which was that teleporter they used to get to another planet. Originally the AAM was meant to be a CEC show experiment that was too complex to create & establish. It was an animatronic mechanical mess back then.

As someone who was a kid during the heyday of showbiz and Chuck e cheese. Those character costumes are less terrifying than the original animatronics. Chuck was more of a carnie before he was retconned to be an orphan who through birthdays for children.

when i was a kid i thought the same thing about mr munch and grimace, also with helen and birdie. apparently mr munch is an alien, and grimace is supposed to be a tastebud???? like... the things on your tongue? it's so weird.
