Here's what Pentecost really is about. The Earth brought forth its harvest. "Blessed are you, oh Lord, our God, King of the universe who brings forth bread from the earth." During Pentecost the book that's read is the Book of Ruth, because there's not a panoramic book in the Bible that is more encompassing of humanity. I mean, look at Naomi, she's gotten off track, her family has left, they've gone down to Moab, and everybody knows through the Word of God that Moab was a curse land, but it had a prosperity.
There - she lost everything. But one morning... she woke up. See, this is what I want you to understand. One morning you are going to wake up and say, "Wait a minute, I'm missing out on some things here." That's what happened in Naomi. She woke up and she said there's a law of redemption back in Bethlehem. I've left it. There's nothing going on for me down here in Moab, so I'm headed back into this law of redemption to manifest.
See - that's the book of Ruth. And on the way her two daughters-in-law; one said this journey's too hard for me. The other one said, I'm going to go with you no matter what. Now, this year we have done incredible presentations at Passover, Purim, and Pentecost. You'll want to watch the musical that was written called "Threshed.” Because they come back into a place that God intended for them to be, and all of a sudden, God starts a process of unlocking their future - but not just unlocking their future, but unlocking your future.
See, there comes a moment in time where God does certain things in the earth realm that extends His redemptive plan through the generations. The book of Ruth is about that. It is about harvest, it's about redemption, it's about sustaining, and then overcoming, and then multiplying. It is an amazing book about covenant. It's a book about how you have to shift. My favorite scripture comes, when all of a sudden in Ruth chapter 3 Naomi says, now listen you've gleaned in the fields this whole harvest, but we have to make a shift. That's what I like about Naomi.
She knew at certain moments she had to create a shift if they were going to get anywhere in the future. That's what faith does. You can't just sit there and say "I have faith;" there comes moments where you have to create the shift. She pulls Ruth aside and said, "honey that widows garment you've been wearing ever since we've gotten here, it isn't going to work for us anymore. Go take a bath, clean up, get anointed and put on the best, party dress you've got, because tonight you're going down to the threshing floor and the richest guy who's been watching you out in his field, you going to lay down at his feet. That whole book is about submitting to God's plan - so that your harvest gets unlocked.
That's why we're here in Alabama. Let's show that first screen one more time, Chad That's why we're here. There is a submission going on in this state right now, throughout this nation between Alaska, between Arizona, between Alabama. We have Ed from Michigan that is unlocking the harvest for the future. So with that, we have Pentecost. The harvest feast, it's key this year for us. You could miss it, it's not legalistic, you don't have to do it on the day, you don't have to do it the way that anybody's ever done it. But God does look at a territory that His eyes on and say some way they're going to do it.
If they do it - I'm going to come down and I'm going to bless them. I'm going to bless them individually, I'm going to bless them corporately, I'm going to bless them territorially, and I'm going to extend their generations. That's what happened this weekend in Alabama. Now, with that, here's the three levels that you get just by showing up today. Look at somebody and say, "I'm glad I came." Pentecost represents what you have coming into an abundant provision so that your physical needs until Pentecost next year are met. You need to say, "I'm getting it all for another year." Pentecost is a time of revelation.
