Racing season is almost here!! We're just a week away from beginning #npk Season 6 and we're excited to see all of our friends across the country!!
In the meantime, we wanted to show you a few of the cars in our off season. This one is pretty special. It's #1117 of 1550 Indianapolis Pace Cars made and it wants to go fast!!
While we were racing in Arizona, our buddy JRod called and told me he found me this car. I'd been looking for one after our friend Richard Burns got his. This one, like the rest, has peanut butter interior and the original lexan t-tops because it never went back to GM for the recall. There are some signs of wear and tear, cracks here and there, but overall this car is straight and floats at 120 no problem. Our friends at Performance Detailing did an amazing job making it look like brand new. Thanks Chris Alexander!
We thought we'd take you out to one of our favorite spots to take car picks - out in Caddo County there's the town of Cogar. It's an old gas station that still has the pumps and sign - a real piece of Oklahoma history. Several movies have been filmed here, and I think Rain Man was filmed at this station. Beyond the gas station is a winding, switchback highway that if you follow long enough, will take you to Hinton. It's an awesome scenic ride and more hilly than most of central Oklahoma. If you get the chance, it'd be a good motorcycle ride. Watch out for the farmers on their tractors though!
We pass by the Dairy Mart, one of the best places to eat in Union City. Their burgers and shakes are not to be missed, but they're only open from like 11-7. Also on the way is Braums family farm which is one of the biggest ice cream producers in Oklahoma. So if you come to Oklahoma, get you some Braums.
Couldn't drive by my buddy #murdernova TTA without doing a burnout in front of his driveway lol. If your friend doesn't do burnouts in front of your house, are y'all even friends?

Any of the turbo Buicks were awesome! Whether it's a Grand National, GNX, turbo-t, a t-type or the '89 turbo TA. That single turbo 3.8 litre 231 cubic inch V6 is absolutely legendary!

I was at the 1989 GN Nationals at Englishtown. A local Pontiac dealer brought 2 brand new Turbo TAs on a trailer and let 'em loose. Both ran 13.3s - 13.4s at 103 and change MPH.

I passed on one in the mid 90s for 8 grand . Bought an 88 5.0 lx hatch for 6500 instead . Boy do I regret that . Car only had 24000 km , yes Canadian .

Sweet car and sweet deal, even though it’s not flawless it could have sold for a lot more. I also agree the lexan t tops are special and add character. I wish more cars had T tops and it was still a thing. I had an 87 Firebird with T tops around 2001 and always cruised with them off.

I used to have a 87 GTA trans am had a 350 lt1 in it and it ran its ass off for being back in the day and when I was 18 went threw few 700r4 until a bad ass tans builder finally built me a good one lol. But I absolutely love it and did burn outs everyday of it’s life lmao and it was same white with tan interior .. I regret selling it but young and dumb always wanted to get another one but finding one in good shape is hard to find for decent price

I had a TA back in the day that would do the same, not start back immediately after a drive. If I remember correctly, changing the coil solved the problem. But dont hold me to it. Nice ride.

The one I had would do that and it wouldn't start because the starter would get to hot because they were so close to the headers I put a heat shield around the starter and never had that problem again. 👍🏻

My 1st car I got a loan for was an 86 firebird 305, 4 barrel. The only year that had the 3rd brake light high up on the back glass. Still love these. Awesome car bro !!!! Great vid.

Welcome to the club, I own # 466 in Amarillo, Tx. I have an aftermarket stereo and used the SWI-RC from PAC audio to hook up the steering wheel controls. Turbo Tweak is something you should check out with these cars too.

Hell yeah Chuck that's a badass car. When I was 16 I bought a 1988 firebird that had a v-6 and I pulled the V6 out and put a built 350 in it. I loved that car and all my buddies in high school were really jealous of it 😂. You have a lot of badass cars Chuck. Keep kicking ass ✌🏼

@@ChuckSeitsingerRacing Chuck rad ride! I have my car from high school car. A black on gray 92 firebird formula 5.7 with GTA wheels. It’s got 49k on it and I’m the second owner. The 1st owner checked every option box including the slp perf pack. It added 60 hp and only 25 cars came with it. It came with 3’ headers, 3’ exhaust, chip, cold air intake and intake runners. My car also has the lexon t-tops.

I first car an 88 trans am GTA. It was the same color as this car but had the 5.7 v8. Bought it for $3000 with only 85000 miles. I wish I still had that car… 😢

I'm pretty sure I got a pig tail for my aftermarket radio that let me use the wheel controls ,,, might look around 88 GTA T/A Black Tan leather,,, no T-Tops Digi dash too. Also the seats, just cant find a headrest like the articulating, was a winner for me from Pontiac

Idk about smoke.. I’ve had a ‘01 ram air & I still got my brothers ‘02 ram air, 6spd, ws6 w/ 34,xxx on the dash.. now they may run with them, but that’s about it.. these ‘89tta turn 13.3s@102 all day.. man be doing great to jerK 13.2s@105 outta a stock ‘02 ram air…

I know what you mean about driving one they make you feel like you're driving in a real hot rod I have an 87 Firebird that I love cruising Backroads on because they hug Corners real nice but nice find sounds like the price of 3rd gen Firebirds Are Climbing I know I've had mine repainted and totally redone and I got over 20,000 into it so you got a pretty nice deal there almost thought about cloning my Firebird cuz I have the whole surround and everything off in 88 GTA it was a red one with the gold medallions I decided to keep the firebird alone you don't see too many of them on the road well drive safe later bye
