She never tells him the truth during any conversations they have in the courtyard. During season 2 she routinely lies to him about her feelings, so I'm convinced she's doing the same thing here. She can't even look him in the eye during the whole conversation until she gives him the little smile at the end. And she was clearly affected by the video logs. She touches the bottom of her neck the same way she did when she thought Chuck was blown up in the Nerdherder in 2x14, and at the end of the scene where she discussed Chuck's proposal plan with Morgan. So she clearly is feeling something, contrary to what she says. It's why Chuck asks her what she's doing there, if she really didn't feel anything, she probably wouldn't feel the need to "apologize."

I would recommend you watch last season of The Practice and the 5 seasons of Boston Legal to wash that bad taste.

GoT ending or even Lost ending were nothing in comparison to THIS disaster. I loved GoT but I never had any strong connection with Arya, Jon Snow or Daenerys I did not care about them. I liked them, but nothing more. With Lost it was totally different story, but when it comes to Chuck it was whole new level of care and love and commitment to the characters, especially Sarah and Chuck. When I think about it today it sounds crazy but non other tv show, movie, book made me felt that way. When I watched that 2 last episodes and the ending (10 years ago) I was in total, completa and utter shock. It has been 10 years and that feeling is with me still. The last 2 episodes as devilish as they are I wish I have never seen them.

I know many people wonder, but I think it is just the day where she records it and says it openly. The feelings are there for a while and she fell for him much earlier. It is just when she mentions it in the log. :) After all her feelings are there from early on in the first season, but yeah it is surely a significant moment and scene :)

My calculations, based on the air dates of each episode, have her recording this the night before she and Chuck ran off together and spent the night in a hotel room (S02e20). The math works out accurately for all the other references, which refer to specific events, so it's a good bet this is what the writers had in mind when they tagged this this specific day. It actually makes a lot of sense. As others have pointed out, she probably had these feelings for quite a while when she recorded this, but is still frustrated by not knowing how to respond to them. The next day events forced her hand. She had to choose between betraying chuck or escaping with him.

+Pique NY She will get the memories back and fall for Chuck all over again, while staying with him. That's hinted at several times - and the writers said that was the intent. The idea is supposed to convey that as being the case...they could have done a better job of making it clearer, obviously, but there are still hints, especially in the last scene. So that actually is as happy an ending as one could have...as Chuck and Sarah essentially get to re-live all of their memories together as she gets them back. I thought it was a brilliant finale, looking at it on a deeper level.

Bunson Baker I think it was a great ending. It wasn't like the 5 seasons never happened because sarah would have eventually gotten her memories back. It was so obvious. After only a few days she was already starting to remember things, so either she would have remembered after the kiss or she would have remembered gradually. Either way she did get her memories back

in my opinion the only thing that was left ambiguous was which way sarah got her memories back. Was it after the kiss or did it happen gradually after they fell in love again? That was the only unanswered question. Either way she would have gotten her memories back and i'm not just saying this because I wanted it to happen that way, i'm saying this based on the facts given through the show and by the writers. Sarah was already beginning to remember things and it had only been a few days since her memories were taken away. There was a reason the writers had sarah remember those small things, it was their way of telling us that sarah would have eventually gotten her memories back. It was blatant foreshadowing. If the writers never gave us any signs to sarah remembering, I would have hated the ending, but they did. We also knew that they wanted to quit spying and start a family, so when she did get her memories back, that's exactly what would have happened. In my opinion I thought the ending was sad, but also happy. Chuck retelling their story and watching them laugh and cry together was very bittersweet and extremely beautiful. I just really love this ending.

+pugz5005 They spent 5 years to build up that relationship just to wipe all of her memory about Chuck and then wanted to leave it to the viewers opinions on how or if she got her memory back. Those two went through a lot together and did a lot for each other, risked their lives for each other and at the end it meant nothing. Even if the kiss worked she wasn't going to remember everything that happened in those 5 years. It's a cliche in movies and TV shows to say "Yes they got their happy ending." but that's what people wanted. They should've given her memory back and then cut to a few months or year later of them in that house living happily together without the spy life. It just seemed that every other cast member got closure and Chuck and Sarah didn't.
