He wasn't always Saul Goodman, ace attorney for chemist-turned-meth dealer Walter White. Six years before he begins to represent Albuquerque's most notorious criminal, Goodman is Jimmy McGill, a small-time attorney hustling to make a name for himself. He made the mistake a lot of people do; thinking his career defined who he was. Once he lost that, there was nothing left to live for. That’s what happens to people who retire and drop dead 5 years after.

Everything Jimmy said to Chuck before the police took him away was correct, Chuck was gonna get sick again only this time it would be too much for him and Chuck indeed died all alone.

His "allergy to electricity" was always a projection of his mental pain, pain that he was felt he was too intelligent and logical and superior to be feeling. He can't feel anguish because he did something wrong, whether it be guilt or stress or remorse; he can't do anything wrong. It must be something else, it must be the electricity. After learning that his mental illness was mental, he thought he could brute force his way past the coping mechanism he'd been relying on for years to logically justify the fact that he's a mentally flawless human being, but he did so at a time when he burned every last bridge he had, most importantly with Jimmy. He'd completely ruined his own life to maintain his ego, and the stress built so much within him that he impulsively fell back to his coping mechanism to deal with the extreme mental anguish. He couldn't have done anything wrong, I don't care what I've learned, I feel terrible and it can only be because of that damn electricity. Yet no matter how much electricity he destroyed, the anguish wouldn't go away, and he would rather die than admit to himself that the reason he feels this way is because he's made mistakes, so die he did.

@@theunfunnyjokester ocd, one day the intrusive theme came up and it stuck. It ain’t a projection, but obviously if his life is going shit it’s going to make it worse because more stress. But i don’t think it a projection in the way you saying.

Anyone who suffers from mental health this scene is example of what mental illness can do to you and why people should look for professional help. This is why people should get the help they need as soon as possible so they can get better before they do something to themselves.

Everytime he was exposed to the electricity he always had a rebound and it was as hard as the exposure to it. He lied to himself about getting better so fast.

Chuck is such a well dressed, authoritative and intelligent man that it doesn't even register at first that this is a scene of a mentally ill man ripping his home to shreds because of an issue that exists solely in his head.

This scene feels like a foil to Mike taking his car apart in the premiere. Mike patiently found the tracker by being methodical in his disassembly. Chuck was erratically picking at straws (kind of literally) while taking apart his house. He never found that last source of electricity and descended into madness, and eventually just couldn’t take it anymore. Even the soundtrack is reminiscent of Mike’s scene (both in G major/E minor and with similar motifs), except it feels like Chuck’s spiraling.

Might just be the set idk. Either way that’s not necessarily what the price comes from, It comes from the scarcity of land and the high demand for living space.

I get it I get it... America bad and shit... But I mean almost nothing gets its price solely from how well one is built. Not to mention that an Ice Pick is pretty fucking violent, and almost anything can really be punctured with it... Not to mention what he's puncturing is called "Drywall" and its not exactly meant to be some super awesome durable material that can last anything. I mean really what's the need to have a crazy high durability material for your walls anyway? I get criticizing American houses for their price, or for the fact that they're made of cheap materials... But criticizing it for being made of Drywall is just dumb... Not to mention you go to a big city in a European country and you'll find expensive and cheap houses, just like how you can find cheap durable houses in the American midwest lol

way i saw it, jimmy is to chuck as the one ring is to gollum. they(chuck & gollum) hate it, but they also need it. chuck had pushed away everyone and everything, just like smeagol, and he spiraled into a hollow shell of a man. their actions led them both to their fiery demises. when they died, one was satisfied, while the other had given up.

It wasn't "fake" as in Chuck pretending, it just wasn't a real physical disease, but Chuck did feel it and that was authentic. As soon as Jimmy proved it wasn't real, Chuck started to get treatment for it

@@zekeiwa5837 It was really based on visual input. In an early episode, Chuck was in the hospital, and the doctor turned on a light underneath the bed, which Chuck couldn’t see, so he had no reaction.

While "not real", Chuck still feel pain from it. He really believe it to be true. Adding his stubbornness and high ego, the more people say he's fine/ not sick, the more he think he is sick.
