@@susan8098 can you imagine bowing and kneeling to yr hubby and being wrapped like a burrito when he selected you for the night? So many unfortunate treatments inflicted on these poor women of that period. It is not quite obvious in the drama as the actresses are way older but most of these gals came to the palace at a very young age.. more like 16 yo. Imagine being shove into this horrid environment where you have to play all sorts of mental games daily just to gain favor, again from that one man. SMH!
