iI'm new to knitting so I had troubles following along, although I felt it was a great video. I purchased the 5mm cording, but had to start over three times hahahhaa.........but not giving up. I was confused about the casting on part -- it wasn't clear that you using the tail part to cast on......finally figured it out. I'm determined to get this right!! I too saw and purchased the tribet at a gift store and loved it. I want to make these!!! Thank you for your video. ;-)

I bought the 6mm cotton cord but used size 9 needles. size of needles shouldn't make any difference. The larger needles will just give it that chunky look. I bought bamboo needles also. When I proceeded to make this, I found it was very, very hard to slide the cotton yarn over the bamboo needles. It was so tough I ended up giving up. I am knitter of many years and have make many things but this was very hard to make. Can you give me any suggestions please. I love this!
@DIYOnTheHouse
@DIYOnTheHouse 16 күн бұрын
I agree, it is harder than using yarn for sure! I had to keep mine loose, otherwise I couldn't get it to slide. If it is grabbing on your needles, maybe rub wax paper on the needles??

I've never knitted until this. Your video really simplified the process. It was a challenge for me as a lefty. But after ordering larger needles, I was able to figure it out. But all is well and I've completed several of these. Thank You again
