About Rivers Church:
Rivers is a dynamic church that offers both inspirational and practical biblical teaching with motivation for people of all ages, races and walks of life. We are a Christ-centred church that preaches the truth about Jesus in a fresh, illustrative and creative way.
BUILDING STATISTICS
Concrete- 6000 tons to date.
Bricks- 480 000 to date.
Steel- 370 tons to date.
Number of seats in auditorium- 3000.
Square metres of the property- Land: 22000sqm. All buildings: 12000sqm.
Parking Deck- 600 bays.
Spiral Staircase- Size: The walk is 120m from ground floor to gallery.
Resource Centres- 2.
Coffee Shops- Not defined yet.
Parents Room- Number of people that can be accommodated: Up to 200 adults.
Potential of how many people can be reached in the new building- 3 Services: 12500 (excluding Sisters/Youth/I.AM.MAN). 4 Services: 16500 (excluding Sisters/Youth/I.AM.MAN)

I'm watching building tour videos for inspiration for a work project. This video is done REALLY well. The talent is excited, the tone is upbeat and it's fun. There are a lot of terrible building tours out there, so props to the producer!

Wonderful place for God and for His people to meet for worship and fellowship with one another..I recommend Rivers Church for everyone around Johannesburg... SHALOM!

I think this is wonderful. Church should be a place of refreshment. A place where one should feel comfortable. It should be a place where people should feel like lingering for a while. It is conducive towards the forging of close friendships and connections between people. For those who think this is a bit too much, there is also the choice of a smaller, more modest church setting. Either way, the church is not contained w/in a building, it is inside of us. The Holy Spirit !

This Church does not have to be ashamed of anything. King Solomon built a sanctuary greater than this so the House of God should be done with excellence. Well done Rivers Church! Even the church's community projects is outstanding. I am so inspired!

People are so negative... look at what GOD can do, it’s not about how fancy the place look, it’s how God blessed this church. But nevertheless, I listen to Pastor Andre on Podcast, before seeing how Rivers look. I was drawn to Rivers, not because it looks how it look, but the word given by God to Pastor Andre. Be blessed Rivers and I pray one day when I end up in Sandton, I’ll pop in and experience this. Have a blessed day

N/A I sometimes visit here. Is it a cult? I don’t believe so. The sermons are really not bad, although slanted slightly towards prosperity. My thoughts has always gone back to the 7 different types of churches in the book of revelation..., all six of them were imperfect in one way of another. Some rich, some poor. God will separate the truth from the false on the judgement day....

Hey Brenna...Trust you are well. You should check out Rivers Church...Its an amazing place...I had the awesome privilege to serve at Rivers and impact lives and meet Ps Andre. Ps Andre loves impacting lives.You should make a turn there and buy some COFFEE lol....really good coffee I must say...o and the food is really good...

Brenna Markham: Some may think that. But I think church should be a place where people feel comfortable. A place where they will linger for a bit. This will facilitate the forging of relationships and connections. Although I can see where you are coming from. I don't think the comparison should be made with Jesus driving the money changers out of the temple.

6:12 These are the biggest LEDs in the country, not to be great or to be exceptional, but to communicate better... 😂 I think the marketing department went a bit overboard here. I’m sure they help a lot of the less fortunate, but you don’t really need a business church like this, which to me more looks like a ‘cult’ like center. I trust all those people who had a near death experience and mention that life is not about religion, but it’s about love.

Christ said not to make the Father’s house a market, and that’s what you essentially completed. Christ turned the tables and got angry at what the Pharisees did when they sold things/animals at the church; His temple. 🙏🏽✝️🙏🏽

For the naysayers This church is in 1 of the few Business districts in Africa. (((No mammon here))) Exceptional *design* & I guarantee that JESUS is first & foremost here. John 14 : 6 & Acts 4 : 12. This church is nowhere near the DISTRACTING mega churches that actually do serve (((mammon))) Amen & amen !

yes, I tried to tell relatives that a real Church isn't so worldly, this "church" makes itself very luxurious to attract worldly people. their goal is for people to not to come learn and worship the lord, but to attract as many people as possible. This "church" barely pays any attention to the fatherless and widows, they sit there spending on making fancy buildings

When you start a business, to make money, as business does, but you're clever. 1. You get stupid people to finance it, without having to repay them. 2. You're not taxed on profits (on that score I can respect him, since tax is another form of theft from sheep), 3. You have a title and get to tell stupid people many lies which they slurp up and you have a sheen of respectability. Even though you're a crook preying on ignorance. Amazing what you can do when 10,000 fools club in, only too happy to give their money away.

No u got it wrong...They got the church auditorium separately positioned...The other parts like the book shops, restaurant,pool for baptism,car park and office departments are all very important too..But separately positioned as well.. There is always time for everything...
