Are Conscientious Objectors welcome in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Well, Alexander, you could say that is our religion - bearing all the truth and all that is good with moral or righteous principles. Take away these and watch how quickly a society degenerates into itself. Obeying the laws which God has instituted in this world is true religious freedom because any law that is obeyed blessings are ALWAYS predicated by obedience to that law. We as a people also seek to be one in heart, mind, spirit and purpose. Would we all be built on a strong and sturdy foundation if our purpose was to all become “contentious objectors”. I think you’ll find that educating our consciences on good moral standards brings happiness and peace of mind to each of us because we can discern between that which is just and true and counterfeits to joy and happiness. We only seek to do good, come and see.

@@alexanderv7702 maybe to summarise, what I said before, we follow Jesus Christ and simple follow in His example. Of course nobody is perfect but i suppose you could justify that it’s good to stand up for your country and fight while keeping your beliefs. There is always a better way to learn how to. We follow a prophet, maybe you can see what He says. Of course I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being a conscientious objector but I’m concerned with how people are treated in the process. This can strengthen my testimony, I’m going to look up on this topic, thank you.
