Bishop Paul Morton preaching at the COGIC Holy Convocation back in 2002! He & Bishop Patterson were friends for many years & their bond grew stronger as they both progressed in ministry! We thought since COGIC Convocation is coming around the corner, this would be a good preamble. This was such a powerful message! Bishop Morton always references the Spirit over the Mind. Bishop not only preached. He preached and taught in this message. He made clear on many things throughout the message. And then he summed it up with his personal testimony. He stated that some had said he wasn't ever gonna preach in cogic organization. I read somewhere that he and his brother, Bishop James Morton, were not accepted in COGIC. So, from that, Bishop P. Morton began the full gospel baptist organization. Some of these preachers now have retired from preaching. When I first heard of Preachers retiring, I thought, if God called you to preach, teach, sing, evangelize, that call is for life. I never could understand how a sanctified preacher can even let that be a thought. After all, we are Jesus bride, and if we sit down on him, then we become shipwrecked and even a divorcee.
