It makes my heart sad to see all of these comments speaking ill of a man who was murrderd, or saying that God does not love us. I will pray for the Bishops family and for these people as well.

Very sad. I wonder what made the person do this. Could there be more to this story? Sometimes bishops use their power in the wrong ways.

Let's not act stupid. EVERY religion has a vast history of child sexual abuse. Everyone is just afraid to criticize other religions and Catholicism is an easier target. Let's not start trying to justify this man's murder because he is a bishop and try to accuse him of evils he never participated in.

Yesterday's praying service by Fr. Albert from Sacred Heart in Covina was inspiring and honorable to the life of Bishop O'Connell. Thank you for the video and reporting about this great bishop. He had such a sense of good humor and he enjoyed being with his flock. We will miss him greatly.
