Chushir payes is a traditional Bengali pithe which is prepared during Poush Parbon or Makar Sankranti. It is also known as Choshir payes, chui pitha, choshi pitha, chushi pitha, semai pitha, dudh choshi, gura pitha etc. It is made by boiled rice flour, date palm jaggery and milk. As choshi is completely made by hand that is why it is also called hate kata pitha or hate kata simai pitha.
