I keep coming back to this wonderful piece over and over. Credit to Alessandro Tampieri on violin and Doron Sherwin on cornett, both virtuosos on their instruments and pretty decent vocalists. I love Doron using his cornett like a microphone.

Merci à vous Philippe, Christina et les musiciens de l'Arpeggiata pour tous ces merveilleux moments que vous nous offrez, pour le bonheur communicatif que vous prenez à vivre la musique. Nous sommes bien loin des ensembles guindés que l'on aurait presque peur d'applaudir pendant leur concert. La musique est encore magnifiée quand on ne se prend pas trop au sérieux. Certes, point trop n'en faut mais de temps en temps cet humour est une bouffée d'air frais

I went to see Philippe Jaroussky in Guanajuato, I talk a little with him, and e is so kind and amazing, his voice is extraordinary!, I really enjoy the concert... I hope to see him again...I´m so happy

Curiosa a mistura de teatro cômico e música. Remonta à diversão da era moderna, e com boa qualidade dos intérpretes. A música obtém rosto, sorriso, cor, temperatura... Parabéns! Amazing!! And so funny...!!! Philippe is not only one of the most beautiful and perfect male voice in the world...he's also an excellent actor: dramatic (see "Saint Alessio"!!) and comic (see this video!!!). I like Christina's laugh...she's also great (and his musicians).Thanks for posting!

J'ai découvert Christina Pluhar en écoutant les mardi de la musique ancienne sur France musique. Les choix musicaux les interprètes les musiciens , à chaque découverte ou réécoute, je suis bouleversée.. Une amie m'a dit cette musique est sublime. C'est le mot qui convient. Merci à tous

I went to see L'arpeggiata and Philippe Jaroussky last night at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall. Che vi posso dire? What can I say? It was unbelievable. The transformative concept of Christina Pluhar's brilliant transcriptions to expand the boundaries of monody through the genius of Monteverdi and his contemporaries by bringing jazz influenced chromaticisms, melismas, and riffing to this wonderful music made it a joyous, coruscating, transcendent experience.

Un piacere ascoltare Jaroussky che oltre a cantare divinamente é anche tutto un attore! La Pluhar si diverte da matti e ride o sorride sempre quando a cantare é Jarroussky. Se si ascolta la "Ninna nanna" si vede la Pluhar sorridere pensando che Jarrousky potrebbe uscirsene con una delle sue, ma invece lí niente... In ogni caso, ascoltare questa canzone ti fa sentire bene, a prescindere che uno creda o non creda in fantasie circa il paradiso o l´inferno.

That this was L'arpegfgiata's first foray into the USA speaks to how much work we need to do to catch up to our European friends and relatives in terms of appreciating music of the rinascimento, and baroque. Splendidi ! Meravigliosi! Superbi ! Straordinari! Bravi !
