Incredible Blue Fields in Fukuoka - 海の中道海浜公園のネモフィラをみて来た

Hitatchi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture is famous for their blue fields of Nemophila (Baby Blue Eyes) flowers, but in Fukuoka we have a very popular photo spot where you can frolic in these gorgeous blue petals too!
Hi guys! For those looking for things to do in Fukuoka, this is vlog of our day off at Umi No Nakamichi Seaside Park in Fukuoka City! I know this video isn't as ambitious as my others in terms of editing, but I thought it would be good to get SOMETHING up. Plus, I really wanted to show you this park!
As much as I don't like uploading unpolished videos, I think it's the only way to get myself to update more consistently. :o
Next week we're welcoming a special visitor to Fukuoka though. So stay tuned for that! We can't wait!

I always wanted to visit this park! I've seen a bunch of videos with people enjoying the view whilst listening to live music. This park is such a beautiful place!!

it is so nice to see you both having some fee time (somewhat free, anyway) together. Micaela, your hair looks amazing! I need to take this video to a stylist and say, “I want the Micaela!” And the thing about jinxing it when you get excited to order happens to me WAY too often. My husband and I have driven over an hour to eat somewhere before and then discovered they were closed. Sucks.

Fuk yeah! Your vlogs have really given me an appreciation for Southern Japan!! Tokyo's cool and all, but that scenery in Fukuoka is hard to beat!

For us, Fukuoka has everything we need from a big city, without all the crowds and people and lineups. And there are tons of natural attractions as well :)

I looooove tai! We ended up being too full to finish the tai sashimi bowl so we brought it home and turned it into tai fried rice (with sauteed onion, celery, garlic, and egg) the next morning! It was surprisingly good!

I've lived in Fukuoka a couple of months and been back a few times to visit friends, but I've never been to that park! It looks so pretty, I hope I can visit it this year!

That ice cream looked good. Too bad the restaurant was closed. The pics you were looking at looked delicious. But the stuff you ended up eating looked good as well. I can't remember if I commented on it in the past but I'll say it again. Hair looks nice. Anyhow, have a good one.

Loved this vlog! It really made me want to visit Fukuoka. My dad's side of the family is from Kumamoto, and I've never visited Kyushu.

You should! Fukuoka is my favorite place, but there are tons of great places to visit in Kumamoto, too! I love Aso and Kurokawa!

purplefalls well they’re in completely different locations, I think Hitachi is larger in terms of scale, but Uminonakamichi is popular with locals, and usually clears out close to closing time (5:30pm)! We were there from 2pm to closing and it was busy in the afternoon but by 4pm there were only a few people in the park :)

I went with a program called AFS. www.afscanada.org/study-abroad/find-your-program/?destination=142&aoi=33 I was referred to them by my Japanese teacher/student counsellor in high school after asking for help arranging options for studying overseas. :)
