This video captures the transformation of a single cigarette over 74 days in extremely high humidity. The cigarette was suspended on a hair string inside a container with 99% humidity. We kicked off at about 28°C (82°F), and the temperature gradually decreased to around 20°C (68°F) during the filming period.

Suggestion for a video. Put different types of alcohol next to each other and compare how they evaporate/the residue they leave behind/mold they produce (beer is more likely to mold than whiskey) and maybe put a glass of water next to them as a control

Such a great idea, I screenshotted your comment and I will definitely do this. I already did wine, beer, and whiskey, they are on the channel. But I still want to do your idea as a comparison time lapse, from low alcohol to high alcohol content drinks.

The contrast of the black behind the cigarette was impressive it can't be easy to find a shade that dark . Also the mold on the hemp paper it's rolled with has to be full of micro organisms in order to mold so completely over the filter . Awesome video PO 💯❤🙏

I have like, a _phobia_ of mold. There's nothing worse than lifting up a bag of fruit or something and being met with a green carpet growing over what used to be food, and having your nose be assaulted by its unpleasant, musty smell. But at the same time, there's something strangely beautiful about it...

If you want to see something akin to mould without its unpleasantries I'd suggest looking into different types of moss or lichen

Very nice video, An idea from my side for a future project: try different sterilisation methods on an object (for example ethanol, bleach, etc) and show the results compared to non sterilised. Keep up the great work ❤

Tobacco is actually supposed to be kept a little humid. Cigarette tobacco probably has something added to make it more resistant to damage from really high humidity. It would obviously be hard to light in of that condition.

Would love to see a time lapse of an item like this, but one you rub your exposed skin over, and the other you take from the package with gloves on! It would be really interesting to see what develops on both of them, when the only difference is the oils and whatever else might be on skin.

As a non smoker I had no idea that spots and discoloration starts to form after only a day or two. I can see how this would press a smoker to finish that pack before it goes bad

I had no idea cigarettes spoiled so fast! My dad smoked for 40 years and I never saw that. I guess that seal does an incredible job of preserving them. Or did you wet it first? Can anybody give me more insight on how cigarettes on a shelf don't spoil?
