That’s a cool idea. I have over 200 Opus X’s, and over 600 in total. I cannot imagine doing this to them!

Great idea! I can see some people not wanting to try this but for a person who rolls fresh cigars I can see myself clipping the ends of certain sticks that I want to dry and age more efficiently. I also find my best thinking comes as I'm falling asleep or just waking up. Hopefully more people will try and or comment on this method but we all know we heard it here first :)

To age a cigar, you ..let if AGE. For example, time passing by, i.e the passing of time. DO NOT cut the ends off your cigars.

Great part about it is, finding what works best for you. It's all about the experience you get and for some trying out different ways to see what works best for them is fun and adds to the experience. But at the end of the day you are absolutely right if you want to do it the way that is proven to work, time and the right conditions is all you need. Thanks for watching!

If you have a couple of the same cigar try and do a comparison to see what you prefer. To bad you got to wait a long time before you can actually smoke to see how they turned out, thanks for watching!

As a cigar roller I like to dry box my batches. This is a good tip, I did try it once before but instead of cutting the cap I don't apply the cap to the head of the cigar I leave it open. But then when an order comes through I have then apply caps to those cigars lol so its like a should or shouldn't do that. Overall good video. Also. Where can I find cellophane in different sizes? Seems to be a shortage. Thanks again

I need to know how to age them better. But I also need to know how to stop aging them. I live in Canada and I get my cigars by travelling to the US on vacation and bringing back a 5 to 10 year supply. So some of them are around for a long time.

Aging cigars can be tricky to get it just right... but with many things about cigars is it is all about your personal preference. The best way to explore the best ways is to check out the topic in cigar forums reddit is a great place to start. Then try out a couple of ways on the same cigar and then smoke them at different time intervals 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 1 1/2 years, 2 years... and so on and see what you prefer. You may find that you like one way with one cigar and another way with a different one. There really is not a way to stop the aging process other than smoking it, but if you have your humidor seasoned and has a great seal cigars can last decades in the right condition. Most important things is protecting the oils from drying out and of course preventing mold. Thanks for watching.

I'm not expert but I remember seeing a video that mentioned keeping temps to 65 and humidity around 65 to age slower.

@@josephkool8411 LOL. Cuban cigars are not very good and _way_ overpriced to boot. A good cigar is more than just a label. Ask Mardo where the best quality cigars come from.

There are a bunch of fantastic cigars that won't break the wallet. Buffalo Ten, Back2Back by Davidoff, Aganorsa JFR series... Also, a pro tip for buying cigars is to look for ways to get free shipping, loyalty rewards and coupons, and a place that allows you to order singles. Many ways to try out a few different cigars and not spend a lot. Reach out directly anytime if you have any other questions.

Without clipping the end of the cigar how long would you age it for? 6months? A year? Or more?

Hard to say each cigar may be better a different times... It is best to experiment if you have a box of cigars or a five-pack. Smoke some at different intervals. 3 months, six months, 1 year, 2 years... and so on it may take a while but you can dial in what you like and prefer. Some cigars might be best right away whereas others may be best after 4 or more years. But at the end of the day, it's all about what you like and the journey to discover that.
