Bravo! Jose Carreras. Past his prime he still delivers a passionate performance! Looking handsome and fit, the mezzo voce he floats along with tender pathos, Neapolitan embellishments genuine, and vibrato while showing the effect of many years of singing to my ear is still wonderful.

L Arlesiana di Cilea..grande Carreras..immenso..se non sbaglio siamo ne l 90 alle terme di Caracalla con i 3 tenori..spettacolo indimenticabile..grandi tutti e 3 e hanno cantato in 6 lingue..bravissimi..e anche in napoletano

La pace sot cercando io vò: Vorrei poter tutto scordar. Ma ogni sforzo è vano... Davanti Ho sempre di lei il dolce sembiante! La pace tolta è sempre a me... Perché degg'io tanto penar? Jose has a beautiful voice. I personally like Mario Lanza's interpretation at The Royal Albert Hall with just him and the piano. Unreal emotion and passion that was typical of Mario.

Deus permitiu a vitória contra a leucemia por vários motivos, mas creio que um deles é que uma voz assim não poderia se calar.. o mundo não poderia perder tamanho talento.. graças a Deus Carreras venceu a doença e pôde continuar nos emocionando com sua voz. Que interpretação linda!!!😍

On the brink of death - healthy - he sings with such passion and conviction and looks skyward to blow a kiss at his god or a loved one, or whomever, for the fact he is still alive and singing his ass off - brilliantly! One of the great moments in live performance history.

Personnellement je préfère la version de Pavarotti, même si j'aime bcp Carreras, je pense qu'il a possède plus de volume sonore, comme sur "sembiante" ou le "Ahimé!!" De fin. Apres j'écoute de l'opéra de puis peu (après g que 16 ans😅...) et donc je m'y connais très peu

@@alexandrelegarrec2381 Vous vous y connaissez. Sur les talents respectifs de l'un et l'autre on peut débattre indéfiniment. Retenons qu'ils l'appréciaient l'un et l'autre, parfaitement conscients de ce qui les différenciait. Pavarotti possède un "coffre" unique, Carreras semble plus humain, plus proche et son combat contre une terrible maladie restera héroïque.

I don't know but can think of two reasons he might have done it one it could have been a kiss to his mother who died when he was 18 or a kiss to god for his survival from Leukaemia
