If you use Diabound in the Damage Step, your opponent doesn't get a replay. You always use it on attack declaration. If you use it in the damage step, your opponent also can't respond with a lot of stuff.

It's weird that this needs to be commented, he did try to diabound in damage step ealier in the series and it worked, he seems to have forgotten how that works.

I think he just did not want to deal with that swords of revealing dragon that prevents attacks if it's the only monster on the field and decided to keep the other monster alive

You can also see the water attribute of ogre in the top right. In the context of the masochist series and ogre being a rare with 2800 atk 1000 def and special summon on empty board ability. (big monarch stats) I would have recognised ogre with half the pixels.

Diabound too. Being a hard to out monster that prolongs the game + allows your smaller guys to beat over has been crucial in so many matchups.

We can no longer ignore Beargrams unmatched battle prowess! It's literally a 3400 ATK Lightning Vortex on legs and much better than Dark Simorgh. That's why I think Cimoo should replace the Bird with the Forest Emperor. Then he could also retire his 1800 WIND beaters (except Rose Bird since it's a plant) and put in the stronger Insect Knight, as well as Naturia Horneedle and maybe bring back Smoke Mosquito. Also he's got Naturia Camilla which combines Foolish Burial and Monster Reborn in order to set up Horneedle to destroy your opponents special summons! And the best part is: Camilla is a tuner, which makes it a target for Rose Bird. You know what the other target could be? Naturia Vein. That would turn Rose Bird into a floater that can special 2 (!!) Spell/Trap Negates from the deck and get all the materials for Beargram on his own.

He can definitely play all 3: sorc, simorg, and beargram. He needs to rework the deck a tad because he's sitting on things like photon thrasher. It's very possible for him to ss a light, dark, or wind, ns either, overlay for a dark, etc. The insect knight should just replace the suship. 19 is going to be the same as 2k in 99% of situations.

It's been proving it's worth in alot of episodes. There's more than a dozen times where it either won the game, caused the opponent to waste copuous amount of resources to get rid of the monster, or tricked an opponent into walking into the equipped monster. Edit: It forcing to walk an Avramax into it was the best.

41:35 Normally when you play a card that discards as cost, the first prompt that comes up is what you would like to discard. However, Branded Opening discards as effect, so the first prompt they would see after activating it is the “would you like to activate something in response” prompt. They were attempting to discard Called By for Opening, but accidentally activated it instead, which means they had no cards in hand to discard when Opening resolved, and thus got no Despia.

If you ever get a critical mass of flip monsters, Tindangle Angel is a card to consider. It summons a guy and ends the opponent's battle phase right then and there.

I would consider running Traptrix Vesiculo. It's another monster that you can special out, albeit with a minor cost, but it would be useful for tribute fodder or overlaying for Firewall Exceed. Also if you get more Trap Hole cards, of which many are at low rarity and thereby not difficult to get, you can banish it from grave ro recycle

it really is, i get that he cant really out it if they swap to def, but pretty much anything worth kaijuing is either a wall he cant get through / annoying effect he cant deal with like tag out or has more than 2200 attack by default (usually over 3K)

Gameciel is a crazy pick up but as cimo said he can't play it until he can reliably out a 2200 atk monster with most hands, when the power ceiling of his deck goes higher then yeah he should play gameciel

He still should play it. In games he draws gamical and is forced to use gamacial without a way to out it, are games he would normally lose even if he didn't draw gamacial. He's also lost so many games due to towers that he would have another option to answer those cards. He also has a decent chunk if answers to 2200/3k vanillas

Magikey mafteal is a free summon, a level 4, and a tuner. Traptrix vesiculo is sometimes a free special summon and a 4.

Yeah but none of the aspects of Magikey Mafteal matter because: It is only a free summon if you control a Magikey monster, it is tuner but can only be used for a synchro summon of a Magikey monster and it being a 4 doesn't matter because you can only use it for a XYZ summon of a Magikey monster.

I am sure you know this already but on the very small off-chance you don't: top right of the deck building screen is the "UR" symbol and if you click on it you can switch to show relevant stats of your cards instead of their rarity(level/rank/link, attribute, and if it is a tuner or not etc. will be displayed handily on every card). I am saying this because you looked at your deck ( 15:30 ) mentioning that you don't think you are playing tuners anymore which would be something you could easily spot with that option aswell as levels for xyz and synchro summoning of course. Unless I misunderstood that satement in which case ignore all this xD

I love this series because it reminds me of those old yugioh games for DS. You got a shitty starter deck, granted it usually had some synergy, then had to duel to buy packs to build a better deck. I LOVED those games so much because you had to weigh your options, like Cimo, do you run a mid card because it could be good once every now and then? Or run a generically good card that doesn't do a whole lot with the rest of the deck? Just fun to see.

In the case of Gameciel it can prove to be helpful in cases of having to deal with negates which would otherwise spoil a plan, so i'd think it could be useful in more cases that you'd be thinking of.

That turn you used Safe Zone, Cipher Dragon used its effect so you could have let the exploder go and the rest of his monsters that aren’t named “Galaxy-eyes Cipher Dragon” can’t attack directly. You took way more than you needed.

Naturia camilia and horneedle are great to include in deck. Camilia puts horneedle in grave and revive it on opponents first summon and on their second needles effect is live that does free removal once and can even be used second time during turn if necessary

Hey @Cimoooooooo. Just wanted to thank you for some fun hours. The last time i played Yu-Gi-Oh was 15 ago in school. And therefore never experienced the "real" modern style. Started a masochist run without experience or knowledge about the several summoning types (not to mention 99,999% of the cards), but really enjoyed my way up the ladder. Ive hit plat today (being a long time magic player might helped with my learning curve) which kinda marks a stopping point for me since the decks are getting combo heavier and i get a lot more frustrated - this otk decks or locks arent really my vibe. But i enjoyed the way and your videos so thanks again!! :)
