A lot of exciting captures around Cincy. The Dash 8's sure looked sharp when new. Interesting how there was so much Grand Trunk power in town back then. The Airchime K5LA horn is so nostalgic. Great video Jeff!

That was before the I & O took over the Grand Trunk line.

@@jefftoft5568 Wow, I never knew the Grand Trunk had actual trackage in Cincy, you're the first to ever tell me this. I appreciated you for sharing the history. I find Cincy railroading incredibly fascinating.

@@hakeemsd70mThey were the only Class 1 railroad in Cincinnati not to own trackage. They had trackage rights over Penn Central or Conrail, DT&I was the original and Grand Trunk bought them in 1980. In 1991 Grand Trunk sold to Indiana & Ohio the rights to serve Cincinnati. Hope that helps.

@@jefftoft5568 oh okay, I understand now. I definitely didn't know that the DT&I came to Cincinnati on its journey to Portsmouth. This helped out a lot, thanks again Jeff.

The first GT run by is a former DT&I unit, I don't know if that explains anything for you!
