I finally read Cinder and now I'm having THE WORST BOOKHANGOVER. I love it some much. I did see that Cinder was going to be Princess Selene from all the clues. I'm very looking forward to scarlet. I just ordered it!

I guessed cinder was the lost princess right away

Before I even began reading this book I knew cinder was a princess. I mean like come on, This book is like a recreation of Cinderella. And obviously she's gonna be an outcast so why not start this book and saying she's a cyborg and also adding to that, why not near the end make her lunar as well. So I knew since there was an evil queen, cinder was gonna be the missing princess because this queen is freaking evil and has manulation-like powers, why would you not be suspicious? yes, the book was very predictable but idk what the fuss about it is? It's an adaptation to a Very popular story-book princess, don't be surprised. This book is easily one of my favourites. It was well written and the plot was great, I personally don't have any complaints.

I read Cress in seven hours and it took me a week to read the whole series. Winter is the fourth book! You will love Cress!

*SPOILER ALERT* I was speculating that Cinder was Selene right when she mentioned her (like, oh, random conspiracy theory time that *totally* has nothing to do with the story! Yeah, nice try there, Meyer), but I knew for _sure_ (around page 64) when Dr. Erland mentions how sophisticated her cyborg programming was, and I thought, "Wait, the government wouldn't have this advanced stuff for an ordinary girl. She HAS to be the Princess!" So, yeah. I was kind of disappointed that it was obvious, too (at least to me), but the dramatic irony it created wasn't extremely annoying. For instance, some books will have the character pondering for paragraphs upon _paragraphs_ wondering, "Oh, I wonder who I really am, how could I solve this problem, etc." And I'm over here screaming at the book "OH MY GOSH HOW COULD YOU NOT HAVE FIGURED THIS OUT YOU IDIOT!!!!"

god i read cinder like a couple of years ago, i think, so i don't remember it very well. i remember thinking it was pretty predictable, but still enjoyable. like cinder being the lost princess--that was p obvious. and i remember not really liking kai. i think i'll give this one a reread before going into scarlet. great review, christine! glad you enjoyed it!

I thought that the Fairy Godmother figure was the Dr. I think that it is him because he granted her the money so that she could go to the ball. Also, he really helped her so much throughout the book. I don't know??😂

Why do people insist on giving spoilers??!! I loved Cinder, and as each book comes out, the story gets better and better. I love seeing how all the stories weave together and I'm excited to read the last book so see how they all weave together to get to an end. Keep going Christine! Its so worth it!

My favorite part was the scene in the palace's elevator. SO MUCH ROMANTIC TENSION. I loved it.

I always wanted to read this book, because Christine always talks about it, but then I read the back and it made me really not want to. I finally picked it up today and started reading it and I'm SO glad that I did! I really recommend it from what I've read so far!

Im so glad you're reading this series! And yes I do agree with it being obvious that Cinder is the princess but that's not even much of a big reveal compared to the rest of the series. The books get way better as you go along!

I don't know if someone already said this but it's been on my mind throughout the whole three books. In some way, Cinder could also have been a small portion of Anastasia with the whole myths of her being alive and lost somewhere with little to no recognition of who she truly was.

The thing I really loved about this series was how well Marissa Meyer Used foreshadowing, especially in Cinder-I was looking through Cinder after finished reading Scarlet and Cress, and I realized that she made all these connections to the next two books and I was just like..OMG how did I not see this? xD good review, Christine, super super stoked for Fairest and Winter :)

I feel the same way in that I was nervous to read this series because I really don't enjoy sci-fi, but pleasantly surprised and I can't wait to start reading Scarlet! I have only read cinder but if cress is supposed to be like Rapunzel and is captured and kept locked away in like a tower or something does that make her that girl that told cinder on that comm to stop kai because she is being held captive by queen leveana in space. Plus eventually all the main characters are probably gonna cross paths so that would make sense. I'm sorry if i'm wrong but it was just my inference.

My fave part from cinder is when she and Kai were in the elevator, and he asked her to the ball and she said no before getting out then he held the elevator door with his hand and asked her again, what a prince mmaaaann. That was so romantic. So romantic. I love Kai

The Author loves Sailor Moon and lots of other animes since it was mentioned at the end of the book. So the Princess Selene originated from Sailor Moon being the Princess of the Moon. Also the whole battle between earth and moon

I've been waiting for your review! So glad you liked it! The series just gets better with every book and I love how the fairy tales mix with each other and so the characters. I figured out about princess Selena right away too, but I think it would be impossible not to. I mean the title and the concept of the book/series kind of spoils it. But on the other hand it's cool to find out the story behind it and waiting for Kai to realize that.

Same. Took me forever to pick up this book and then I wound up just tearing through it super fast. It is so much fun and so hard to pitch to people because you're like "Cyborg Cinderella who is secretely the moon princess fights Moon Mutants...but not as ridiculous as it sounds." I will not spoil you but man it just gets better in Scarlett and Cress (And the Last one is called Winter). Can't wait for your book talks for that!

Cinder is my like favorite female character I just think she so asdfghjkl and I really love Cinder and Kai. This is one if my most favorite series ever! So I really hope you love the series just as much as I do.

I read this book and I absolutely loved everything about it. I read all three book in 2 weeks and I need Winter now. Winter is the 4th book btw, in case anybody was wondering. Comes out this November!
