What really gets to me is that Cinderella's voice actress had Alzheimer's disease later on and forgot she voiced Cinderella or even worked with disney but the nurses that took care of her always played this for her she loved it

I really hate when people diss on the old, traditional princesses! Cinderella is one of the bravest I know! Her story in inspiring!

as a victim of abuse, it's unsurprising that dreams were cinderella's refuge. I wish people remembered that when they complain about how she wasn't feminist or was waiting for a savior. She was abused! And she didn't even want the prince to begin with - all she wanted was a night of freedom.

What I love most about Cinderella is that nobody can make her stop believing in her dreams. Though She has a tough life she still believes that someday her life will change .She is so strong. Who else agree with me?

To me, Cinderella is one of the bravest female heroines in movies and Disney. Now she didn't need to fight a war, or go ease racial tensions, but she was a victim of abuse. Despite all she had gone through, she was kind and a wonderful person, and she always believed in herself and her future. The most beautiful thing about her is that she never let the cruel behaviour of her step family hurt her own perception of herself. She had self worth and believed that she can make it out with her head held high. An inspiration to people who come from abusive households or relationships.

Her whole dream was one day with no abuse, the emotional abuse. She wanted just one night of happiness and to feel like a human being instead of feeling like nothing. The point of cinderella is not going out to find prince charming, its to keep on believing even in the darkest times because your wish will come true either someone will help you or a perfect opportunity will show it self to you. I will always see Cinderella as my favorite disney princess.

This song is so sad. She knows somewhere deep in her heart that she deserves more and even through her tears she's hoping that her dreams will one day come true.

Disney's favourite character was Cinderella - for the sole reason he admitted having to related a lot to her struggles and how she kept a brave face in the direst situation. Kindness and patience are often traits which as you get older most people deem to be obvious and most tend to radically undervalue, with most people deeming 'fighting back' in the typical way being the more realistic and preferable option. It's only as you get older though you realise there are some situations where you cannot fight back, at least not immediately, where sometimes you just have to sit the hard times out and clench onto the only thing you can control, that being that your good nature, your faith and belief in yourself and your abilities will be what one day will shine through. It's only then as you get older you truly realise the profundity of Cinderella's strength. Sometimes just remaining kind and decent and not letting bad situations turn you bitter or lower you to your rival's levels is the greatest victory.

I only left 1 year ago, i remember one day the lightbulb just hit and I suddenly realised my upbringing was not normal, but i journaled, healed, saw a therapist, and i even got a tattoo that said ‘ faith’ i knew i had to move out, i stayed as positive and optimistic as i could as i knew my soul needed this if i ever wanted to escape the house, now i’m older i look back and see how powerful cinderella is, she isn’t just a boring princess, she endured abuse and still managed to be kind humble calm and loving. a true princess

I always remembered Cinderella as a bland princess waiting for her prince charming, but when I rewatched it the other day I realized she has so much more personality than people give her credit for. She's kind, hardworking and slightly bossy... And Cinderella really isn't a story about love, isn't it ? It's more about good karma. The prince represents her reward for enduring such hardships with a smile and strength. She gets to marry into royalty, and for love to top it off !

After the dress-tearing scene, a dissonant version of this theme plays, and I can only think of how Cinderella was still trying so hard to stay so positive, yet failing for the first time after such a traumatic experience. I remember back in late 2020 I had graduated college in the middle of covid and was stuck working at a minimum wage sandwich shop in an attempt to make ends meet. I absolutely hated going to work every day. When I got my first check I cried because the pay was so low. I'd hum this song to myself while slicing sandwich meat. Then I got a job at a grocery store with twice the pay. THEN I got an EVEN BETTER JOB working from home as a customer service rep. Shoutout to Cinderella for keeping me sane when all I was dreaming of was a better job. As a kid, I dismissed Cinderella because "she didn't really DO anything". She kept at it when life seemed bleak! She hung in there!
