Both releases are the best of both bands ,I like the raw,live feel of the poison record ,I could live without (Talk dirty to me ) being a teenager in 80s- great fun records for the time ,

Yep same for me. After I saw the display in the record store a few days later my friend said he saw this band called Poison on MTV. I was like oh ya I saw their album in the store. I said some girl band right? He said no they wear a lot of makeup but it’s guys 😮😮😮 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Night Songs - No Contest I saw them open-up for Bon Jovi in the spring of ‘87 … Cinderella was probably the tightest band I’d ever heard live at that point. Bon Jovi came-off kinda flat after Cinderella.

I love both albums and I’ll admit as silly as a band Poison is, I really love their music.😂 “Look What The Cat Dragged In” would probably be my 2nd favorite Poison album after “Native Tounge.” And yes, I think “Night Songs” is a far superior album.

The last time I saw Poison was when they opened for KISS on Rock The Nation Tour. Predictable setlist, predictable order of songs etc. However, the women went absolutely crazy over them. For me that makes a show fun.

Ended up with both these records by not sending back my record club post card in time (the old heads know). Never opened either until I saw Cinderella open for Judas Priest on the Ram It Down tour. I was impressed enough to rip that baby open as soon as I got home. Poison is just one of those meh party bands that the chicks dug that no one took serious and was at least more tolerable than rap or pop.

Yes Cinderella kicks ass. I saw them on the long cold winter tour. And then I saw poison open up and say ahh tour. I look back and I think to myself wtf I thinking? I bought into poison at the time I guess but they're a band that didn't stand the test of time with me.

When I asked for this track by track I knew Ralph didn’t like Poison. I saw his video comparing the first two Poison records. I had no idea what he thought of Cinderella. So I asked.

@@cavman5580Poison has been in more than a few Suck vs Suck battles, they are the epitome of “glam metal” or “hair band” cliches. Need to find more sucky albums to go against Poison (Bon Jovi’s been done).

Never been a fan of Poison. I remember them being the first band to be called hair metal when hair metal was a derogatory term. Night Songs was an album that we played the shit out of back in the day . Solid all the way through so it's an easy win for me. Not able to watch right now but I look forward to seeing this .

Got to see Cinderella open for Dave also, got to meet everyone in both bands except Dave, long story but we were working on back stage passes and this is a quote from Dave " If you ain't got tits, you ain't getting backstage" oh well, we tried! Too bad I didn't know Cinderella at the time, big fan now

A cousin of mine met Bret Michaels and C.C. Deville backstage at a show many years ago. She said C.C. was an arrogant prick but Bret was a sweetheart. Nothing "happened", but he was a sweetheart. She also roundhoused Jani Lane once, but that's a different story, obviously.

Cinderella and Ratt are my 2 favorite "glam" lets say bands from that era. Dokken dont count. Tom and the boys simply kick major ass, and I like how they went more Bluesy as they went on. #1 bad boy is the only decent tune, And the intro to 'Play Dirty' is pretty cool, before the singing comes in.

I was just a small kid getting into rock and metal when these albums came out so the glam stuff holds a place in my heart. It was all over mtv and i was definitely watching lol night songs wins for sure lol but i dont hate poison they are literally the only glam band from then with the original line up still together lol who would have known

I remember in the beginning I used to dub Cinderella, "The American AC/DC" hah. They're fucking incredible though, Tom Kiefer is one hell of a vocalist, and their backing vocals were always marvelous. Plus songs like "Somebody Save Me" are complete air guitar anthems, and then you hear how deep the lyrics are, I remember that blowing my head. Poison fucking blows though, I still think "Your Mama Don't Dance" is one of the worst "classic rock" songs I've ever heard.

Cinderella's Night Songs is a masterpiece. I saw them open for David Lee Roth during that tour in 1986. The rest of Cinderella's catalog disappoints. Poison is so cheesy. The music is weak and silly. But I saw them a couple of times back in the 80s. They put on a fun show back in the day. I wouldn't have given Poison a single point in this track versus track, but that's just me. 🤘

I was (just as you) also disappointed when Cinderella went the bluesy way. Their original sound was just perfect. I disagree with you on Push Push though. I love that whole album from beginning to end, LOL! After classic Metallica, Cinderella, and Ratt, were my best friend Anthony's favorite bands. He passed 4 years ago. Since then, I can't listen to either band as I used to. I just can't make it throughout any of their classic albums.
