When I was 14 I found Jeff on myspace, of course my 14 year old self bombarded him with questions about his guitars. To my surprise he responded and wrote back and forth with me for a few days about gear. Told me a story on how his mom got him that red Kramer for doing good in school. I will always remember how cool this guy was. As if I was talking to a fellow guitar buddy, but it was Jeff LaBar from CInderella !!!! R.I.P Brother

Funny story, Back in 86 Bon Jovi took Cinderella on tour with them as their backup band to get them started anyways they played their whole Night Songs album, trust me they put Bon Jovi to shame!!!! Ahhhhh what a time to be young, I was a teenager throughout the 80's , I feel that People who grew up in this era were so lucky, 54 now where does the time go.......

Went to that show like 4 times..Cinderella and Bon Jovi. Slippery When Wet tour. That’s when I became a huge Cinderella fan. However Bon Jovi did rock it each night as well. One of the best duo’s I’ve seen.

Listening right now. Such an iconic rock group. One of my favorites growing up. I actually met Jeff Labar at the Wild horse saloon in Nashville while attending a Stryper concert with my daughter who at the time was 15 and is now 27. Jeff was a very cool guy and a lot more approachable than I would have assumed due to his star status. I've never met any of the other band members but I specifically remember the conversation with Jeff being about Cinderella starting up a new tour in the near future following his being at the Stryper event. Like I said, super cool guy and very easy to talk to. He will be missed dearly. God bless you brother as you carry on in the hereafter.

Are you kidding me! Cinderella, Motley Crue, Ratt, Scorpions, Winger, and many more of the top band's of that time is all I want to listen too. This is rock at it's greatest!!! Yes Nirvana, STP, Green Day, and more of them made killer music as well but it still ain't that sound you get from Motley Crue for example. Kick ass music!

So he said fine, I won't promote you at all . His drunken phone call ruined it for the other guys in the band. I still have the Smooth Up In Ya album though, lol.

I think I was at that same concert. Had to have been McNichols Arena. I went to every rock concert at McNichols Arena back in the 80s. Lived in Colorado Springs and we would drive up to Denver for the weekend and stay with whatever new friend(s) we met over the months and years prior. I was 21 in 1986, and my girlfriends and I all wanted to marry rock stars. My life was similar to the movie Rock Star w Mark Wahlberg 😆 No regrets!!

Do what you can to make it simple and amazing. Personally I still listen to and collect 80s metal / rock albums and cassettes, 80s rock mags, comics, watch 80s movies, etc. Also minimise time on shitty "modern" things like Facebook, reality TV, etc. It will definitely help you to feel young again 😊

Totally agree,...this album and The Cult’s Sonic Temple got me started into a metal phase that was quite long. (Used to wait for this video & several others way back when on Headbangers Ball - when MTV still played VIDEOS! 😂).

The girls run right past Cinderella.. just to embrace Bon Jovi. Funny they could make fun of themselves! The 80's & all that METAL. So, so, so sad it's gone now. We need a renaissance, it was so fun. First concert I attended was DL in 87' supporting Hysteria. Will NEVER FORGET that concert.

I love all the positive comments about the 80's. Was 16 when this came out, 47 now. I recently fully realized & thanked the good Lord that I was a teenager throughout the entire 80's. Best times in music ever!!

These guy melt heavy metal and crush rock into dust. They deliver such a pile driver sound more than a right hook from Mike Tyson. Thundering like a freight train at 120 mph. My ears are still ringing from watching them on MTV in the 80's. Lead vocals that could split the hope diamond in half. You guy are right up there with Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Guns and Roses and Metalica!!!

I am abt 4 months younger than you Tom and when your group was out in the 1980s I was married with a son , married, I was not well, but I was very busy taking care of my family, just living day by day. Very busy. I never had time to really listen to alot of music, but in June 2023 I found this song on KZfaq and I love you guys, yes I am 63 but I have a new group I just love. My son knew who you were and he was 4 or five he Said when he was listening to you on MTV. I was shocked and he had still had a cassette of your Cinderella tape. I was blown away and it still works and sounds great. I want to thank you for writing some beautiful songs, now some are 🎉abit to suggestive, but I love your music. I hope someday you will come to the Central Coast of California and do a concert . Thank you , from a new old fan , Kelley

Cinderella was the real deal back then, and as a live act, were virtually untouchable. I took some of my idiot-grunge friends to see them in the late 90's, even (begrudgingly on their parts), and their jaws were on the floor the entire show watching them perform. I never heard them say a bad word about Cinderella after that one 😃

Shows why grunge only lasted about 5 years, yet glam metal lasted more than 15. What's more surprising is glam is coming back, yet grunge isn't. Just goes to prove glam>grunge.

@@ALLMETAL1970 there were only a handful of glam bands that were genuinely good and had a distinct sound. 75% of the other bands were just clones of Ratt and Warrant playing generic pop rock for the chicks and the fashion, thousands of them. glam had a higher peak but there are many more solid bands as a whole in grunge than glam. in conclusion, most glam is pretty gay.
