@@deotexh I thought so! but a part of me wanted to believe he had some crazy trick he did. I assumed he popped the balloon with liquid, then once it popped he put 3d liquid in and speed ramped it so the hit was natural.

@Earth Titan do you think the liquid is 3d? Maybe he did two takes, one with popping the balloon, then he did another one acting like he popped it and replace the liquid with 3d liquid ? I was honestly confused by it 😂

Great job guys! I prolly would have recorded my self doing the acting and then put some CGI cup and water simulation on blender and in resolve 16, track the phone and add flash and then mask out necessary areas.....and pro tip- Optical Flow in Resolve uses AI to keyframe intermediate frames hence a shot in 30fps can look realistoc even when slowed down to 10%

Yeah... if u look closely on the picture at 10:12 and at frame when this picture was made at 10:09 you will 100% see it's different, so kinda makes sense!

With a second balloon, probably hanging with a little rope or something. Rest is same as the video above, lots of rotoscope, masking etc.

He pops one balloon, and then starts to swing his arm. The falling balloon water is isolated from this clip, and superimposed onto the second clip, one where he finishes the swing and punches another balloon hanging at the right height.

The effect is cool, but there is still error in precision. At 10:09, the picture is taken of the cookie hitting the milk and causing a very nice splash. However, the image shown from the phone are not the same splash at the moment it was taken at 10:12. To get it 100% accurate, during the drop test of the cookie and capturing it in slow motion. You should've also position another camera recording it at the angle where the phone would be taking the picture. Then use that image to match the splash for 100% authenticity, when the phone reveal the photo taken.

If you are a good editor, firstly you can record your clip of your head using green screen or just rotoscope it in after effects! Record it in those directions your character is standing! Now to the editing work! According to your work you can also use sometime after effects and Premiere pro! While recording clip, make sure of lighting, it will affect video! Now just take your clip and the character's! Cut or rotoscope it and try to track your head according to the character! Then to Smoke

I mean fog! You can use free images and blend it with colour to the head! It will look creepy just you have to do some color grading! And if you want that flying head! You have to use different fogs and smokes to animate a path! Copy the motion of path and paste it to your head. Try to use After Effects for this! Last thing you should do is to add motion blur and splatter effect to your head! This will result mostly the same! Use your own tips also!
