You can try Cloth Tag -> Forces -> Self Repulsion

Hmm.. the segment amount of the plane would impact the calculation most significantly, try lowering those.

If you added a subdivision surface generator, check if you didn't accidentally add the cloth tag to it, because if you did, then c4d will do all of the calculations with the subdivided mesh which is quite big and unnecessary in most cases

can you show me what's going on? sometimes the dynamics get stuck and you have to do that part again

@@Mr_Anderson_one hi, thanks for the answer, it seems the standard gravity (9.8) was to high for the object so i decreased it to 0.1 and now works more or less as i wanted. But when gravity is set to standard it stretches like hell

Well, I didn't change any setting in secret in the tutorial :) Sometimes cloth stretches more if there are more subdivisions on the plane you used for the cloth. Maybe you can check that.

hmm were you at frame 0 when you clicked ' set ' ?

@@Mr_Anderson_one aha my mistake was selecting the wrong object! i thought you were selecting vertices on the cylinder to belt but it's the plane haha ty
