Along with that, I am sharing a personal complimentary perspective here, more about the spirituality of this movie and why it's so rare and important. Here it goes a humble, brief #KadaisiVivasayireview: Innocence is untarnishable. Purity is like an Indian magnolia tree, even if one exists, fills the entire forest with her fragrance. This film is one such in genre, content & intent, a message from eternity! For someone grown up watching good cinema from childhood (Thanks to my father, a director, NSD alumni) & an experiencer of mysticism, this is clearly a masterpiece that I've experienced in a few Iranian, Turkish films. It's truthful simplicity, beauty to the core! Should I start with the core character, the meditativeness in 'saint' Mayaandi:His posture as in a state of thoughtless awareness (as in a true yogi) at every twist& moment of life, radiating compassion for all of his fellow creation, detached living in surrender to Almighty! Every character from Ramaiyah @VijaySethuOffl to the naive & vulnerable 'Bald man', everyone reflects the narrative we all are living in. The director is a seeker of truth, he embodies Mayandi as the spiritual 'present' an instrument, that the God communicates 'right action'! It's not theism that's communicated, its piousness. When U're pure, detached, compassionate, you become a vehicle of almighty to manifest the divine plan (benevolent transformation).Peacock that's sacred across many traditions of the world, here echoes the divine signs/ plan. When again we would see a poignant 'Tamil' film as this? Tamil cinema today often amplifies violence, grievance, pity, pain, etc in the guise of being "honest", deepening wounds, provide rhetoric inorganic remedies! To all issues out there social or political, Kadaisi vivasayi film serves holistic medicine, quiet! Last but not least,for Tamils recognizing this film & the theme it underplays is very important for evolution as a meaningful society! One humble suggestion I would have for the Director: See the universe in a grain of sand! God has revealed a message through you! Thank You!
