Fighter squadrons in the military throughout their history used nicknames. There is one in particular that stands out the most . Not because they flew together . Its because they road together. It's that name that is probably the most known of all. In 1946 their is a photo of WWll vets wearing their squadron's name riding as a group. I seen on this site a MC wearing their name and that date 1946. I'm in my 60s and I'm not aware of some other group with ties to 1946. My question is. Did they fly in the same squadron or a different squadron one? Or is that date of 1946 on their MC patch part of a band of brothers who were together in WW 2. Reason I'm asking ? Only curious bro.
