7 ай бұрынJust wanted to sing the praises of the Circle Electric MKI here - punching way over its weight category tone wise with probably the most sought after fuzz (most stupidly expensive) pedal in recent memory that I know of! :) - The CE here has been rehoused into an enclosure I found in Japan - can't remember the name of the guy - but he sure went after the old look & I'm grateful.
Sold the 2022 Steve Williams Sola Tone Bender recently so I could afford braces for my kid. It was absolutely great, but truthfully I'm not in a position to have kept it. Rock on!

Brandon builds incredible units that stand side by side with the ridiculous priced ones. I sent him a set of original 1960's Siemens AC-151's for a Schaller Fuzz, i can't wait to play it. Great playing and tones btw!.

I think I prefer the Pigdog one just a little bit more. It has a much better decay. IIRC, the circuit variation for The System versions are supposed to be more gated than normal, so maybe that's why. Also, that's a clean tone J. Mascis would be proud of.

I love Dino! The Pigdog is great, no doubt. But I guess I just made the video to prop up the Circle Electric, as a brand they're also putting out killer stuff. Thanks for your comments. :)

@@MrKingalow - Yeah. Not knocking the circle at all. I'd be curious to see a comparison a regular, non-System, Circle MKI versus the Pigdog.

Would like to hear them into a completely clean amp as the overdriving amp dilutes the pure fuzz sound a bit, hard to get an accurate read on them with a dirtied up amp.

In my experience - and it's just a preference - I dig the way they "take off" with a bit of tube compression already present. I think Jimmy and Jeff were using Voxs that were wound up to a level they could play with the band - in other words, their "clean" settings before the fuzz were somewhat slightly"dirty" too. To my ears anyway
