Let me know how if you have any questions regarding stack configuration. If I don't know the answer, i have a lab in my house and I will experiment it and get back to you ASAP.

How many maximum number of switches can be added to the stack? Let's say for instance the Cisco Catalyst 3750 model, what's the maximum amount for stacking?
@networktutor6403 жыл бұрын
9 switches the max

I have 6 switches that I need to stack back to back since I need to form ring from first one to last switch stacked together do you know if one metter cable is long enough?
@networktutor6402 жыл бұрын
1 m is more than enough for 6 switches is they are stacked on top of each other.

Great tutorial! Question: how many switches maximum you can stack 8 or 9? Cisco docs are so confusing. And even if you use the global command: #switch ? you see options from 1 to 16 🤔
@networktutor6402 жыл бұрын
max you can stack 9 switches

is it a necessary rule to stack the stack ports like 2 to 1 or 1 to 2 ? is it possible to connect the stack ports like below?: SW1 - STACKPORT 1 ---> SW2 - STACKPORT 1 SW2 - STACKPORT 2 ----> SW3 - STACKPORT 2 SW1 - STACKPORT 2 -----> SW3 - STACKPORT 1
@networktutor6402 жыл бұрын
You can do that also. But, if you do that, stacking cables will take up lot more space in the back. Also stacking cable will have sharp bent. Hope this helps..

nice video keep making like this sir. one qus suppose we have 5 switch do we have to connect cable between sw1-sw2, sw2-sw3, sw3-sw4, sw4-sw5 , do we connect sw1-sw5, sw2-sw4???? pls reply and guide
@networktutor6403 жыл бұрын
you need to connect 1 and 5. This will complete the full stack ring. If you don't do this, say: if the cable fail between switch 2 and 3, you will end up with 2 different stacks.

Sounds like your putting hand cuffs on the switches.
