That's only happening if you accept that cars from now on are upside down. Those two systems are interlocked so we cant just fix it. 100 working in sky scarpers OR cars driving normally.

@@theflyingnon1133 Does it? At least 107 people disagree. Maybe for many people, the situation has improved since launch. But if I take myself as an example, it has actually gotten worse. I was able to play with minimal lag by applying the tweaks in settings that were shared by CO in the beginning. Now, I can barely start a city and move the map without having most of the settings at the lowest or just above the lowest settings. I have spent more time trying to tune my PC settings, Nvidia settings, and in-game settings than actually playing. I gave up. I have a very good configuration (GPU NVIDIA RTX A4500, AMD EPYC (3.7 GHz) 8 vCores, 28 GB RAM). I have no issues playing the most recent games at the highest or near-highest graphical settings. So I do believe there are issues in the game for a significant portion of players. From my point of view, what’s the point of an economy upgrade (which is welcomed nonetheless) if I can’t even enjoy a game with graphics that don’t allow me to see moving cars or details of assets?

The game runs fine for me, Nvidia 3080 is my primary system. Yes, it's a slightly newer card than yours, but the point is your running an almost 3 year old video card...it's not the game, it's you. And just because you can run "most recent games" doesn't qualify an effective excuse. Take a game like Cyberpunk 2077, when it came out it was 8 years old. Point is, meet the minimum requirements and you can use minimum settings. Even then, background programs, etc. make a difference. From my time on the forums and discord, there is a small percentage of people saying the game runs like crap on a system that meets recommended spec. You do not.

@@dr.bherrin I may be missing something, but I do meet the minimum requirements in terms of processor, RAM, and graphical memory. I even exceed the recommended ones (as they appear on Steam today). I know they changed them after launch, but could they still be outdated as of today? Regardless, the game did run better before than it does now, with almost all settings at high or highest. After the few initial patches where performance increased, the game has progressively worsened performance-wise with every patch and update over the last 9-6 months. I know this may not be the case for most people, which is good, but as you said, it is still an issue for some players (107 people liked the initial comment). Even if it’s only 5% or even 1% of all the players, that’s 1% too many. All of us are paying customers who shouldn’t see our game become progressively unplayable. That’s all. Performance should be the utmost priority in a game and all other software, but that’s another debate.

Be aware, CPP said the revamp will break existing saves and if you want to keep using them they'll need to be migrated. Apparently this is not the most straightforward process so he's offered to make a tutorial video for CO.

Government subsidies could be a great system, if it applied to specific parts. Say there’s a starting huge railroad crossroads. Government pays for it, but you can’t change it unless you buy it out, but it also provides jobs etc.

This sounds good. I felt there was never any end to demand for anything. I realized at one point that I had to not fulfill lower density demand, in order to get higher density demand. And even then the low rent housing never worked out.

Exactly. Also the residential medium/high density does not lvl up - even if all needs are fulfilled and taxes are extremly low (1-2%).

Its like they started Development for CS2 without any prior knowledge of CS1. The fact that they needed to wait this long to get community feedback for a fucking sequel is ridiculous and PROVES this is actually an EARLY ACCESS RELEASE. (which is really sad and pathetic for a sequel)

I don't care about economy!! Are they even paying attention to us at all? Tell them to FIX THE GAME. Fix the traffic. Fix the mod support. Fix the quality of life. Fix the playability. Fix the game from crashing. Fix anything at all. The economy should come dead last. I’m definitely gonna think twice about buying another game from this company.

I'm thinking that the Abstracted Investors is one of the still remaining ways to prop up the economy in the background. These go to the companies to pay workers so that you can tax them instead of sending the money directly to the player.

This may improve the game, but it won't fix the game, if infrastructure and traffic isn't fixed. Let's say economy and traffic is fixed before 2025, this means we might be able to enjoy the gameplay, but if I end up with same assets rotated in 4 different ways, this will make for functional but bland city builder, but it would be an obvious time to release the game as early acces. Colossal and paradox needs to tell us how they will compensate us. And what about beach properties are we ever going to see some beaches?

I'm not so sure about this one. I already feel that the game is quite limiting on how to build your city. And making everything more expansive and reducing the amount of money you can make will not help in that regard.

For me you should be able to do some zones and toggle some wealth modifiers (to make some low density low income zones and in other parts low density high income) then the houses need to be different accordingly to the wealth of the zone. And the game demmand should be for the income not the density.

I don't know. I mean, these changes are all great but I don't want my simulation to just turn into a balance sheet of income and costs. I want my design choices to matter, I want things to happen that are out of my control - some good, some bad. I want it to feel like a living breathing city and not just an algorithm to solve.

It probably ..will be a good game ...but it will take years , depending on how many devs they STILL have .., I follow dozens of early access (which is what this game is) and read updates , its a slow and painful process, and will. Be slower of they add more features ,since that adds more bugs

This game! They’ve released it in such a broken state that instead of adding basic features like bike paths they’re tweaking behind the scenes functionality that should be invisible to the player. When I play Simcity I don’t stop to think about the intricacies of how the game calculates the finances, but I know everything seems to reflect the city I built. I’m waiting for a competitor game to take the reins of the city builder genre. CS2 is not the one.
