Cities Skylines just turned 7 years old, and it's STILL the best modern era city-builder out there! So out of sheer nostalgia, we're jumping back into the game with a brand new city: Praetoria. I envision she shall become a shining jewel for the world, a thriving metropolis with unparalleled beauty and luxury... so now we just need to make that dream a reality!

Pravus, I'm sorry, no, grids are one of the *least* traffic efficent methods of road planning what they excel at is connection for small (relative) cost, the thing is with grids if one part of the grid starts to get clogged it can bring the entire city to a halt which is why most countries don't use a grid system for city planning, because although they're cheap and easy they lead many socio-economic issues, namely dependency on cars as it reduces the efficency of PT, high urban pollution, atomisation, reduced fuel efficency, increased traffic times, etc. this is one of the fundamental reasons why cul-de-sacs are possibly the biggest faliure of uurban planning in modern history. Real cities have curves. edit: I just want to say I'm loving the pre-planning and this episode was wonderful, please don't take my earlier comment as saying you're bad or anything

When starting your city instead of chucking both the entrance and the exit to the highway on the same road it’s better to use a roundabout👍 Praise Pravus!

check the noise, land, and water pollutions as these are the causes of sickness. also dont try to save every penny, i spemd alot of money and it ends make me profits than if you didnt spend much, cities skylines is more of a building game less of a strategy so money isnt much of a problem

@@Zestone01 Executive Capital - Pretoria, Judicial Capital - Bloemfontein, Legislative Capital - Cape Town. But as most of the running of the Country has historically been done in Pretoria we kinda see the city as the defacto first capital.

Tropico could be enough for you, but it isn’t really like city skylines imo, it shares a lot of aspects, but they tend to shuffle around eachother in terms of depth and shallowness for their mechanics

Workers and Resources: Soviet Republic. The game is far more in depth though and you build a whole country instead of one town

If you wanna boost your game performance (and by extend the FPS), get rid of the very dated Ultimate Eyecandy in exchange for Play It. That also includes the day/night time feature and a simulation speed slider, so you don't need the old slider mod anymore. It's so much more optimized than UE.
